I have the IRobot Roomba and I love it....I used to vacuum once a week...but I use that thing about every other day. I've been looking at the Scooba, because now that I'm spoiled I don't think I should have to mop my floor either! Anyone have one? Does it work well? Hardwood and laminate would be the main types of floors, but we do have tile in the bathrooms. Any reviews would be great!

No, but I've been asking DH for one for every birthday, anniversary and Christmas for the past two years!
(he doesn't take hints!)

Bumping - I have been begging for a Roomba ever since they came out! Would love to hear reviews of the Scooba. Does it sweep and mop or just mop?

My brother has both. I know he loves the Roomba, but haven't heard anything on the Scooba. Next time I talk to him, I'll ask.

We have one, and yes it dose work, but you need to use it all the time as it is not very good at stains/ stubbon dirt marks. I know that the new one has a larger water tank so that would be better as our tank is too small.
If you have a large room you will need to change the water 2 / 3 times and it takes forever to clean the room.
Would I buy one again.......if I had a smaller room yes, for my house now no.

I have two dogs and have been thinking about getting one too! We also have a roomba and LOVE it. Keeps the pet hair under control on my wood floors.
Have you heard of a website called woot.com? They sell them at a pretty good discount. You just have to check it every day. (they only sell one item a day)
Good Luck!

we have a scooba. we bought it from woot black friday '07. it is a refurbed model, but we haven't had any problems with it at all.

i'm not sure what type of laminate you have, but i have heard that it can damage the pergo brand laminate flooring. we had laminate in our old house, not pergo, & i felt that it worked great on it. we now have a lot of tile flooring in our new house and it works really well on it. we also have the model where you can use a white vinegar/water solution instead of forking up the big bucks on the scooba solution. but be careful as not all will accept this.

some negative aspects i've heard are that people don't like the fact that you have to sweep up a bit before using the scooba, as the dirt & pet hair collector/filter is small. but i think if you keep your house fairly crumb & dirt free then it shouldn't have a problem.
