Extremely sad story about a terminally ill 10 year old child. Upon landing at Laguardia airport in New York to see some sights and events done specially for him, his family finds his personallized electric wheelchair has been destroyed by the airlines. Even worse is the airline's response (or lack thereof) afterwards.

Not sure if anyone out there can help, or if help is even still needed, but someone should do something great for this kid and his family.

Apparently the situation has been resolved--saw a news clip preview to that effect at around 8 p.m.

A quote from the update

"We know Tanner's Number One personal wish is to go to Disney World"

Can we as Disers nominate Tanner for "Give Kids the World", or does he have to apply?

Unless I'm missing something, the article says that Air Canada is sending him to WDW, so I don't think he needs GKTW.
