Can anyone recommend accommodations in Orillia. My daughter will be playing in Canadian girls peewee baseball championships there, the last Aug 23-27th.

Is anyone familiar with the Best Western, Comfort Inn, or Econolodge?
Looks like there are also numerous B&B's.

Any ideas and thoughts are appreciated.

I have stayed at the comfort inn and it was nice. Rama casino has really nice rooms also- if you want to do some gambling also.

The Stonegate Inn is also very nice.

I have stayed at all of these and, of the three, the Best Western was probably the nicest. Econolodge was the most economical (imagine that) and basic.

There's also the Highwayman Inn. It's just off the Highway, not too expensive, and is not a bad spot.

Hi Bev ... I am actually from Orillia :wave2: I almost fell over when I saw the name Orillia in your subject heading ... not many people seem to always know us :)

Anyways ... most of the above mentioned are nice ...

The Couchiching Inn, which is the Best Western is very nice ... here is the link http://www.couchichinginn.on.ca/

I personally don't like the Econolodge, but that is because I remember when it was the Knight's Inn and it was a dive at that time. I do see lots of cars there, so people do stay at it ... but I just can't imagine!! Again ... the Highwayman Inn ... some people are ok with it, some aren't. Used to be really run down, seems better these days, but I'm still not 100% on that  (I'm picky!!!)

The Comfort Inn is good too. Here is their link ... http://www.comfortinnorillia.com/. It is on Memorial Avenue, where most of our restaurants are ... McDonald's, Tim Hortons, Kelseys, East Side Marios, Theos (BEST in town!!), Harveys, Swiss Chalet, Subway, Quiznos, etc.

Another nice place is the Stonegate Inn. It is new in the last couple of years and looks lovely. Here is their link ... http://www.stonegateinn.com/.

There is also a brand new Days Inn out on Rama Road, which is just outside of Orillia near the casino. It is a nice hotel too. Here is their link ... http://www.daysinnorillia.com/ .

Hope you find something!! We are a busy place in the summer :sunny:
