I fly out of MSP. SW has a code share agreement with ATA that would allow me the chance to fly to SELECT cities. I need to go to Corpus Christi, Texas early next year. I cannot book with SWA out of MSP all the way to Corpus Christi, but I can get a flight to Houston (via Chicago) and then connect to a flight to Corpus Christi. Prices are so high that this might be an alternative. I know I will spend a lot of day flying, but it may be the only way I can make it to the USBC bowling championships this year.

Question is: Will have have to get my luggage at Houston and then recheck it on to Corpus Christi, or will I be able to somehow book my luggage all the way to CC? I would be purchasing separate tickets for each leg, since I can't officially book all the way to CC.

Make sense?

I would think you would need to handle your luggage. Why not call Southwest and see what they say?

A few years ago I used 3 airlines going to my destination and checked my bags in at IND and never touched them again until I got to my destination.
