OT a bit-Anyone know of a tuxedo vest pattern?

I saw some great fabric that would make nice vests for the cruise for my DH and DSs. But pricey. I have a standard vest pattern, but has anyone ever seen a tuxedo style vest pattern? More nipped in and just the neck band and waist band with clips instead of the full-lining back. Would theoretically take less fabric.

Vogue has one - pattern 7488.

Kwik Sew looks to have one also, number 3183, but I can't get it to pull up on their website. This link might work, though...

If you want to make a full back vest, can't you get some less expensive plain black fabric and use that for the back? I've seen some "full" tux vests for sale and they look like this (fancy fabric on the front, plain black on the back).

Thanks Lisa, I had considered that. I made vests for the kids on the last cruise from a standard pattern, fancy fronts, plain backs, but they hate having all the layers. DH is not allowed to complain.
