Osmoprep & colonoscopy & upper GI too

you cando it! i had my fourth scope in less than 2 years on monday. my orginal dx of colitis became crohns last year. ive been in a continous nasty flare for over 2 years and nothings working. i also had an upper gi about 2 months ago and thought id vomit that stuff up. on sunday while prepping the stuff didnt bother me....now either im getting used to the taste/texture of drinking it or my tastbuds have become dead from it. lol

my meds, imuran, prednisone and remicade, along with vitamins etc and prevacid to control the heartburn caused by the other drugs. vicious cycle. my gi doc is discussing surgery with me now. you know its bad when a former coworker sees you while on steroids and says wow youve lost weight.

I am on my second dose of the 2nd round and feeling a lot like I want to hurl. I just keep reminding myself as icky as this is the liquid was worse... counting my blessings.

Ugh I'm one of the lucky ones that vomited every single time I did the prep. Hopefully you won't!

I had a bad experience with a Dr who told me that diet had nothing to do with my condition. I sufferred for a year with him before I switched Dr's.

Come to find out he had me on a pediatric dose of lialda and the first thing the new Dr did was give me a list of do and don't foods. The first doctor also failed to mention that even though my colonoscopy indicated ulceritive colitis my blood work indicated crohns.

What was in your blood work,if you don't mind me asking? Mine has been all kinds of squirrely

My DH's cousin had a bag put in when she was a teenager and she swears it is the best thing that ever happened to her becAuse in her case the pain was unbearable and the symptoms intolerable. I am lucky that I spend most of my time in remission and only severe things trigger an issue, like my wedding, pregnancy c-section and removing a body part, 1/2 thyroid.

I thought I was imagining things with the nausea. So far Iam keeping things down but of course, DS has a friend over so I can imagine what the kid thinks when I do a roadrunner towards the restroom, good thing I have known this kid for years
