Anyone in?

I'm watching, and hoping Jimmy Kimmle aces hosting it! Hoping Lion wins Best Motion Picture.

Albeit, I've a head cold, sinuses infected, sleep deprived, and testy at best, So... I'm hoping the speeches are not too political or long...

Edited to add: I'll be wearing flannel, and eating chicken soup! Yea" Testy I'am.

Enjoy and feel better! We don't bother with awards shows - couldn't care less who wins (or what they have to say :p ) and this year I don't think we've seen even one single movie that's been nominated for best picture.

Yes I'll be watching, and I'm going to indulge in a big bucket of movie popcorn with extra cholesterol (butter).popcorn::
I'm thinking LA LA Land will do well, and Emma Stone may get best actress, but who knows, Hollywood is full of surprises. I don't care for all the political talk either. I just tune in to be entertained, and to enjoy the fashions.
Hope that chicken soup clears your sinuses, just got through with my annual winter sinus infection; not fun.

Haven't watched any awards shows in years. It's rare that I see any movie before it comes to cable or netflix, lol.
Suffering the sinus/allergy infections as we speak....

Me too! Maybe, Imzadi's under the weather, as the amazing thread hasn't appeared yet.

It's coming. :hourglass I was just checking the Australian & Canada TV listings for the right channels. Canada was taking a long time to show up on my computer. :badpc: It was probably trying to locate me and got confused as I'm in the U.S. :lmao: But I finally found E! on Shaw Direct for the Red Carpet. :yay:

I didn't realize it was tomorrow night. (Just asked DH.) There was a time we used to watch every movie that was up for awards, but we haven't been able to keep up with that. I really loved Lion this year, though. I will probably tune in, but agree with pp's if it starts getting political, I'd rather stick knitting needles in my eyes than continue to watch it. Not a fan of Kimmel, either.

I'll likely have it on, but will be multi-tasking at other things at the same time. I'm not familiar with ANY of the films nominated.

I haven't watched the Oscars in years, probably 1984, which was the last year Johnny Carson hosted.
Just a big commercial.
I suspect with the current trend towards making political statements, it will be pretty unwatchable. As a friend said decades ago about actors and their political opinions.."these are people who who need a Director to tell them what to do".
