Oscars

The presenter for documentary.....what was his own?
Something about religion?? Anyone know?

I'm SO HAPPY that Heath won. I cried.

I'm sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo happy Heath won. He was an amazing actor. I feel tears coming on. Whenever someone talks about Heath I tear up.

Religulous.
It's actually pretty hilarious, but as I'm not religious... yeah.
There's some parts where the people who are talking, really have no idea what they're talking about. There was a 'former gay man' and he just pissed me off.
He should have been nominated lol.

Yea, I really try not to think about Heath too often or I just get too upset. I don't know why I do but his death really hit me. I'm just so happy for his family and little girl.

Me too. I never really paid attention to him until after his death, I'm ashamed to say that. But his death hit me SO hard - it was almost like I knew him.

I really didnt care one way or another about Heath's nomination. I mean, I'm glad for his family and everything, but his death didnt really phase me.

*flame suit is on*

Same here. I started reading on him after he died and I just felt like I knew him...really knew him. It felt like a ton of bricks honestly. He seemed to just love the work and not any of the Hollywood BS.

I had known some of his work, especially Brokeback Mountain, but never really paid that much attention. I feel really sad about that.

I feel the same way. I just feel he won everything he did because he died.

Superhero movies never win anything at big award shows, no matter how good they are.

I looooooooooooved Slumdog Millionaire, and it deserved the best picture.

I'm so glad Kate Winslet won Best Actress. :)

I'm so FREAKING happy for Kate Winslet!

I'm glad Slumdog won. It was a great movie.

I am really happy that Heath won! I started tearing up when he got the award. I'm also very happy that The Dark Knight won! But more so, I'm VERY HAPPY that Slumdog Millionaire won soooooooooooooooooooo many time's!!!! I was soooo happy! and I still am!

:cool1: :goodvibes

I would of liked to see Meryl win, but she's so fabulous anyways that it doesnt really matter?!?

Anne Hathaway was my second choice. I LOVED Rachel Getting Married despite how emotionally brutal it was.

YESSSSS KAAAATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I totally teared up during her speech!!!!
ONE thing is that out of all her performances that she's been nominated for I don't think this one was her best, but I guess it's the company you keep in your fellow nominees.

I was happr that Sean Penn won too. LOVE LOVED him in Milk he was amazing. Glad he won.

And was really glad for slumdog to win too :)

I did REALLY well with my picks--I should've put money down or something! lol

i watched some of it ..i liked the beyonce performance..other then that hmm what was up with Ben Stellar

I had this very same question while watching last year's Academy Awards. What the hell is Miley Cyrus doing there?

Religulous.

Definately. He came out to present and I had a "why the hell wasn't he nominated?!" moment. I was about to go to bed when he came out and I said "You can't expect me to go to bed when Bill Maher is on!". I love that man. He can be so hilarious.

It was a spoof of Joaquin Phoenix on David Letterman's show.

Srsly. Favourite part of the show for me. Right after Heath winning. He deserved that dead or alive.
