1) We HAD to see the lights again, before they vanished forever.
2) There was a posting for a Cast Member meet-up to view the lights.
3) Last night, we had CM"s from two parks and five resorts.
4) A grand total of 83 people, when counting the CM friends or spouses.
5) We got LOTS of stares and some claps as we walked down the "street" toward the lights.
. . . here is a string of people about 20-feet long and 3-4 abreast
. . . we are all chanting together the famous Mickey song, "M-A-K-I-N-G . . . M-O-N-E-Y"

Glad you guys got to see it for one last time. Sad to see it go.

P.S. Thanks for the Christmas card. You should be getting yours shortly.

That sounds fun but bittersweet. They will be up until the end of this Christmas season, though, Right? We started going to WDW with the kids in '98 but this is our first Christmas trip and we have that on our 'have to do' list for MGM.

1) Yep.
2) Then the display gets dismantled and broken up.
. . . The lights donated by Osborne go back to the Osborne Family.
. . . The Disney-owned additions will go "wherever" (at this time, no announcement).

While I won't make it this year, I am glad that I at least got to see them last year. As ConttailCurl4two stated, it's bittersweet. Hopefully something new and better will take it's place.

In all honesty, savor the moment when you went last year. Just got back and saw the lights midweek.
It was so INSANELY...and I mean INSANELY crowded, as in claustrophobic and 'scary if someone had an emergency' crowded. It actually dampered the feeling.

Even though they were still breathtaking, the previous years' visits will be the ones I will remember.

It was fairly crowded when we were there. (When is WDW not crowded, right?) but not crazy crowded. I hear you though. When we go next year to WDW we are debating whether we will go to the MVMCP. Last time we went it seems like they didn't restrict the sales at all of those tickets, but that's a whole other thread. :)

Glad you got to see them one last time. I saw them for the first (and last) time this year. What an amazing display!! I'd honestly never even heard of them until this year but I'm so happy I got to see them before they disappeared!

1) Yep.
2) People wanted a last viewing.
3) It was so crowded, they close the parking lot by about 5:00pm.
4) They are directing people to Fantasia Gardens mini-golf parking area and busing them to DHS.

We didn't notice any crowds!

Read earlier this week that they are also queuing the line at times to get in to the Lights and will stop people from entering until it clears out a bit. Also heard of people being directed to park at Epcot and take a bus. I would expect it will get crazier as time it gets closer to Christmas.

Wish we had been so lucky on Nov 16th.

Sounds like the making of a riot, as people just have no patience to wait.

We saw the lights three times last week, and twice we were astounded with the crowds.
It was shoulder to shoulder everywhere you looked!

The third time was amazing. We were invited to a special dessert party arranged by our friends at AllEars.net and Mouse Fan Travel.
There were 158 of us and we had the place all to ourselves for an hour and a half!

Those pictures I posted above are from the private party . . .

WOW! It was fantastic!
