Is this a once/twice a week thing or every night? And what time specifically? One place I found said they do it every ten minutes, and it included falling snow. They don't mean every ten minutes constantly throughout the night do they?

It is every night & the lights stay on constantly, it's every few mins that there is a light show with snow. Also if it's raining they won't have the snow. It is amazing. We seen it in November for the first time & loved it, it was raining though so we didn't get to experience the snow. I believe the snow is made of soap & that's why they don't do it if it's raining. :)

While it is almost every night, there is every season a night or two when it does not run for the general public. Be aware of the dates of these private events.

I have been looking for a calendar that had specific dates or dates it wasn't showing. Can you give me an example of a private event that might supercede it? I don't know anything about HS, but my sister is going for one day, and I'm sure she'll want to see these. Thanks!

Once a year there is a CM recognition event where the Osbornes are not available to guests that night. I believe one or two other groups--Pop Warner included maybe--also rent out the park for a night. When those dates are known, they will make their appearance somewhere on this forum.

If the DHS park hours close early, there will not be lights, because as Mesa said, the park is rented out that evening. Other than that, they run all night every night, will snow every few minutes.

yes--pop warner one night during our stay Park closed very early.

We went to the lights AFTER fantasmic. Crowds were greatly diminished. We stayed til closing. It was amazing-- Lights stay on for one hour after park closes.

HUGE crowds to watch them turn them on

Wow, that's great. I think I'll have to swing over myself this year. I thought it was like a one-time ten minute thing, like a parade.

In December 2011 there were two consecutive nights when the lights weren't available to the general public because HS closed early. Later I found out that it was indeed because of Pop Warner and CM service awards. HS stayed open later than normal the nights before and after these events, and Fantasmic had two performances these nights.

Hollywood Studios closes at 4pm on November 20th this year, so I'm supposing that is for one of the events mentioned above.
