Osborne Lights after Yachtsman at 5?

The last day of our trip is November 8th and on the 7th we have MVMCP. So the 8th would be the only day we could see the Osborne Lights. We have dinner reservations at Yachtsman at 5 that night. How long does dinner usually take at Yachtsman and how long does it take to get to DHS (walking or boat)? I've read that as long as you get in by closing (8 on this night), that the lights stay on another hour. Is it unreasonable to think we could get to DHS by 8 after dinner at 5?

I'd plan on two hours for dinner and 30 minutes to get to the park. It's definitely doable. I'd let your server know what time you need to leave and try not to take too long ordering and you should be fine.

The lights do stay on for an hour after park close, they will not starting moving you along until then.

I think 1.5 hours for dinner is probably correct, a boat will take you about 15/20 minutes depending on where it is when you get to the dock. Technically you can walk there faster (depending on your speed), but I'd take the boat, you'd still have plenty of time.
