That's nice. I know there is an OBL thread that is centered around wire tapping, but I find it interesting that he is quoting the media in that "most Americans want the USA out of Iraq and Afghanistan. I don't think our enemy misses the division that gets fomented on the left, nor do they miss the wire tapping "non story", etc. And did I hear that he is actually suggesting a possible truce? "Hey OBL, is that buzzing sound over your head a drone?

It's unfortunate that Bush chose to start a war that had nothing to do with 9/11 and in doing so guaranteed that Bin Laden would have "ammunition" to use against us.

:rotfl2:

Remember Dawn, Bush doesn't know and doesn't care where he is. He's too busy doing other things to concentrate on tracking down those responsible for the 9/11 attack.

.

The only "ammunition" he has is the American citizens whom arent backing our military. The ones not proud of the work being done in Iraq.

No, the "ammunition" he has is that Bush's focus is on the attack of Iraq instead of going after those who actually attacked us.

Could you tell me what Iraq has to do with Bin Laden?

Of course he also has the "ammunition" of those Americans who will blindly follow Bush. Those who Bin Laden succeeded in making so fearful that they'll willingly give up their rights in exchange for a sense of false security.

Bin Laden doesn't have to worry about taking away our way of life and our freedoms. You can look closer to home for that threat.

OBL had all the "ammunition" that he needed prior to 9/11; His hatred for all things western. OBL has lost some key people, at least three in the recent Predator attack, he may be feeling the heat himself.

Ding ding! WRONG!

I'm positively ashamed of the situation that we've carved out of Iraq - we should have done so, so much better and for good cause rather than for reasons plucked out of the sky (WMD launch within 45 minutes, anyone?)

However, there are people who are absolutely, positively DELIGHTED at the prospect, nay, the process that is killing people. They are the ammo gifted to Osama.

Think about it: "You Americans don't want war, which is why we hate you" versus "You Americans bring death and destruction, which is why we hate you".

Blimey

Totally agree. I think that he has more ammo now, but your point stands strong.

I too think that Osama's days are limited.

WELL SAID!!! What really gets me is the Dubya supporters who back the fact that abortion should be illegal, but what they really mean is that abortion is OK, just wait until the fetus is 18 years old and can go off to fight a needless war. We have lost more soldiers in this ridiculous war than people killed on 9/11. Apparently sending children to kill other children is OK for some; I find it repulsive.

I also find it amusing that every time Dubya loses points in the polls (which is regularly) we SUDDENLY have another threat from Bin Laden. Go figure?!

The right wing is too busy trying to figure out how to pull their heads out of backside orafices to see the facts. Flame away right wingers, your opinion is as valid as the weapons of mass destruction found in Iraq.

What a coincidence, huh?

Bush is the best thing that ever happened to Bin Laden's "cause".

So do you think Karl Rove is producing these threats??

Polls?? I didn't know our President was running for anything.

Yep! ::yes::

I think bin laden is glad we are in Iraq....it's tens of thousands of troops
not looking for him :confused3

Our country is quite united around the military and the job they are doing.
That does not mean we have to blindly follow our current political leaders
(on either side of the aisle).

Bin Ladin-Dubya's best friend!
Where would Dubya be without 9/11? Back in Texas clearing brush :teeth:

Hey, if the guy all you right wingers worship at the altar of says that Bin Laden's not important or a priority, then today means nothing, right?!?

How many billions have been spent in Iraq that instead could have been spent finding the person who actually attacked this country?

And some of you still actually support Bush. Just unbelievable......

Wait a minute? We've stopped looking for Bin Laden? Hhmmm....why don't you tell that to the THOUSANDS of troops that I have sent packages too and communicate with just within this past year who are busting their butts looking for him and still fighting taliban in Afghanistan. I haven't talked with one single member of our military that wouldn't love to have him cowering in a hole just like Saddam - He is and always will be a priority. Trust me Mugg Man - we haven't stopped looking for this murderer - not for one second. And if you believe that we have - you are incredibly misguided in that thought.

And yes...I still actually support Bush and I think he's done a damn good job protecting this country along with our incredible & honorable military. I thank God every night that he is our president - and not the nutts that could have been.

Huh, prior to reading this thread, I said to DH, "Ya think Bin Laden is in cahoots with Bush to keep public sentiment stirred up about terrorism? So that public sentiment will be in favor of the war in Iraq? (Not that the war REALLY has anything to do with terrorism). They are both wealthy oilmen, after all!"

DH said, "Nothing would surprise me."

Wow, Bin Laden sure is getting a lot of ammunition from the media. President Bush really ought to shut down the U.S. news sources in the interest of national security---just like he's doing away with civil liberties and promoting torture in our national interest. It's amazing what a great job Osama did in getting Bush to destroy our country for him.
