WOW, I missed 2 whole chapters, this school thing is really getting in the way of my Dis time. I loved the Isley Brother reference in the last Uni chapter (and now the dang song is stuck in my head, the Sunny D version of course). While I have been away I turned a whole year older !!! And for the first time, I feel kinda old. . . kinda. It's like someone has hit the stopwatch and now the numbers are going a whole lot faster. Anywho, great chapter's Nebo. Smidgy, I have put O'brian's on our must-do list now, sounds great and I love the no cover charge part

I found a life saving tip in your Disney chapter...your walk around the 2nd floor while smidgy unpacks so that you are out of the danger zone. I need to suggest this tactic to my husband. We've got a Disney trip coming up soon and I'd hate for him to sustain an injury the 1st day of the trip because he got in my way or unpacked something and put it in the wrong place.

I was actually a little sad to see the Uni portion end. I like those parks just as much as WDW. I can't wait for them to finish the expansions.

I'm certainly glad you didn't "put down" the Thumpers. I like them a lot and couldn't imagine the TR without them.

The buildings that hold the restrooms and the surrounding area are highly themed with great detail. There are hanging banners and lanterns, posters featuring characters from the movie, and even a waterfall and creek that add a sense of peace and calm with the flowing water

I had one of the ELO albums when I was a kid. (I think it was the Boston one. I really should remember- I had about 5 albums and that was one of them. Also loved Queen.) They had really cool covers- neon spaceships & stuff. Album cover art was a big deal - at 12" square they had plenty of room to be creative. It's just not the same on a 5" CD (which are being replaced by digital files- what happens to the art???).

Can't wait for a new chapter!

That surprised me. I thought you kinda enjoyed the whole "thrill of the hunt" aspect of finding a good room.

It's definately a love/hate, kind of deal. Yes,, i love the thrilll of scoring a good room,,,,, but it's not a guarantee,,plenty of crappy rooms out there. So walking upt o the counter is a moment of excitement,,, and trepidation.

Agreed 100%. Once you have waited able and/or tended bar, (i) you always appreciate and reward the efforts of servers appropriately and (ii) you have little patience for uncaring and sloppy work. I, too, always make sure to leave the appropriate tip - and maybe a bit extra 'cause being a server s a tough life. But, it is also true that servers who feel they are "owed" simply for showing up and not dropping your drink in in your lap aren't worth my time. As a matter of fact, one of the best tips I have ever left was for a waitress who dumped my meal all over the floor next to my chair. It was an honest stumble and she pulled out all the stops (as did the manager) to correct things quickly.

Double D,, when it comes to Disney,, my views seem to change with the wind. There was a time I NEVER wanted to stay at GF,,,, way too white and stuffy,,,, now,,, I can't watit to try and stay at a villa when they are finished there.

I know, the cover art was sometimes the best part! I still have most of the albums and 45's I ever owned... and several 45's that belonged to my (several-years-older) siblings. And my hubby found a turntable that hooks to a computer, so he's been recording most of them to cd and mp-3 files for me!!

I may or may not be old enough, you don't know. Heck, I don't even know. (At least you know I'm old enough to have bought my own 45 records!) But let's just say I was a single adult for a LONG time. So the house I owned and lived in before the hubs is what I call my pre-marriage house. We've just been married for almost 6 years, first (and only!) for both of us, and we live in the house HE already owned and lived in, but we just got my little house fixed up well enough to sell in such a slow market.

A few years ago we decided to try getting "Chocolates Around the World" (because we just can't imbibe enough to give "Drink Around the World" a fair shake). We had such fun collecting all the treats, and only got around to eating some of them once we were home. And then I found, in the so-called "Ethnic" aisle at Kroger, 3 or 4 of the special candies we picked out in the World Showcase! Pocky from Japan is the one that first caught my eye.


Outstanding Mike,,, really. The ironic part is that we just saw them do that song last spring at Epcot,,, and what do you know,,, they will be back when we are there this Flower and Garden spring season,,,and we won't miss them. Unfortunately,,,, the other band that will be there when we are is,,,,,,,,,,
