Orlando Smackdown: Dis vs. Uni. Ch.16 Japan Hates me, Just Hates me 7-13

Congrats on the post count Ponzi. I couldn't think of a better place to celebrate!! I can't speak for all but I know I have enjoyed said shenanigans, and um sure there are plenty more to come. I mean, this TR ain't over yet!!!

:rotfl: Thanks Heather. I've got a feeling you're not speaking for Nebo!

yay!! congrats on 5000!!!!:cool1::dance3::cheer2:

and thanks for giving us the honor!!!!:grouphug:

I wouldn't have it any other way.

Well since you said paraphrased, my first guess is Midnight Cowboy.

Ding! Ding! Ding! Give that man a cheroot.

Awesomeness! Congratulations! Pretty cool accomplishment.

 Says the gal with almost 7000 posts! But thanks! :goodvibes

I've been reading some of your old trip reports and of course this one. One question it seems everytime you go to Florida you get hurt. Have you tried getting hurt like 6 months before you go? ;)

Hey,, a new person,,,welcome! No,, wait,,, you have been on the Dis for 11 years and this is your second post? SECOND? Boy,,,, that first one must have been a reall Doozy!:lmao:

And, for the record,,, I have tried to beat the accident sequence early,,, to no avail.
Our very first trip to Disney ,,,,,blew out my knee a month early trying to win a bottle of Cold Duck at a soccer fund raising party at a hall.. How?
It was down to me and another guy,,, a LITTLE GUY,,,

and that limbo bar was SOOOO LOWWWW.

From now it's "Just say no to Limbo"
Ok,,, Just say no to Limbaugh while we're at it.

Still here, enjoying the count. Thinking about spending a day at US in December, just to get a pic of my son with the TRex. He'd loved that!

You can also get great Dino shots with your son at a place called,,, um,,,hmm,,, what is it,,, Oh yeah,,,, TRex,,,, in Downtown Disney.

So true X-Factor, so true! Contestants on Jeopardy have less to prepare for in scope of knowledge than folks in a Nebo TR. ;)

Entendre and easter eggs are not only prevalent, but are almost expected. My brain sometimes hurts between decoding sentences and paragraphs for hidden meanings and trying to "right read" Nebo's postings! :rotfl2:

Geesh,,, talk about kryptic,,,, I don't know if I've justbeen complimented or slammed!

Nebo, I believe "He chose poorly" comes from Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade. It's in the scene where the selection for the Holy Grail takes place. I love the Indiana Jones movies, especially Raiders of the Lost Ark and Last Crusade.

Yep,,, you nailed it Buzzy,,,,both of those were great movies,,,, the second one,,, not so much,, and the last one was a bit better than Temple of Dooom,, even if you could'n't understand it.

Is it just me, or does anyone else immediately picture the Schlitz Malt Liquor blue bull crashing into the bar at your Schlitz happens comment? Those commercials were awesome to me as a kid! ;)

:)Yeah,,, remember them well.:)

I agree about getting caught up in Jurassic Park, but there are three other movies that I find myself watching if I see they are on.....Shawshank Redemption, Forrest Gump, and Groundhog Day. I'm a sucker for all three of them!

I'm not a Gump fan,,, and Groundhog Day,,,, well,, when I watch it, I feel like I just watched it 6 times in a row.
And I wonder how many people realize that Shawshank was written by Stephen King,,,,, or Stand by Me for that matter?

I enjoyed the chapter Nebo! And what a great ending, looking forward to going home to CBR!! ;)

I concur with Buzz's "It was from Indy 3"

Yeah,,, funny thing was,,, the old Centurian that spoke the line was actually wrong,,, Donovan was handed the false grail by the Gestapo girl, she's the one that picked it out!

But what I really quoted this for: When anyone says Schlitz (or writes it) All I think of is my FIL. Apparently when DH was a boy, his father had acquired SML shorts and...this is important...a straw hat with a matching SML band. My DH tells the story of how his little impressionable 10yo self was horribly damaged by the sight of his father, running across the hot sand - in that jumpy knees up way - with the matching hat/shorts SML set.

Imagine Nebo in the same get up and you'll have a close approximation of the horror my DH survived.

-oh, and sorry I've been away so long. Or possibly Sew long. Busy with sewing and stuff.

that's funny,,,, it does sound mentally scarring.

Funny you should say that about Groundhog Day. When Ruby and I went to see it in the theater, neither one of us particularly cared for it. We kept saying what you said. "The constant repetition was boring." or "They kept showing the same thing over and over again."

and yet...

I kept remembering bits and pieces and more bits and more pieces... now I try and watch it every year around groundhog day.

Oh and " how many people realize that Shawshank was written by Stephen King,,,,, or Stand by Me for that matter?"

Me! Me! Me!

I also like to watch good even dorky movies over and over.

Groundhog Day is one of them, Jurassic Park definitely and Forest Gump.

But being a chick I also will watch Clueless, Mean Girls, Never Been Kissed, Riding in Cars with Boys, Ever After: A Cinderella Story and The Wedding Singer.

Wow, just realized how many of those have Drew Barrymore in them.

Yeah, he's done that already though! Food, eh, atmoshpere :thumbsup2

Curses!!!:mic:

No, no. This is indeed the Tyrants support group (also the demi-god, dictator for life, sovereign and cat n puppy lovers support group... but not autocrat.... that'd just be crass.)

Only 991 more posts until 6000! No wait, now it's 990!!!

So excited...

Thank you Smidgy for the compliment I do have a good sense of humor I also have no sense, or no cents for that matter. Just like to float through life on a cloud of gumdrops and puppies ( I just threw up in my mouth a little bit):rotfl2:

We're getting a Yankees fan?!???

:scared1: :scared1:

i don't think so,,, he's all the way up to 3 posts now,, he's got to be overheating.

Drew Barrymore movies ARE Goundhog Day. Too bad SHE wasn't in Jurassic Park,,,, maybe we could have gotten her eaten for good,,, along with Jennifer Antiston.
Oh, and I think we can throw Seth Rogan into that feed mix as well.

Yes, I keep lookinig for it on Christmas with no luck, so I watch Reindeer Games instead.

Me! Me! Me!

I meant real people.

I meant real people.
I knew too!!

I've been awol for a couple weeks, just now catching up... I was 10+ pages behind!! Really enjoying the pool pix, and all the chapters and breakdowns. You are NEVER boring, so keep up the good work!

I hate that I can't usually see the videos. They're blocked at work, and at home the ipad doesn't like to play them. Unless I schlep over to the real 'puter, I just have to miss out.

I won't try to reference my comments, maybe you'll get them, and I'll try to stay with the group going forward. ;)

Congrats and Woots for the terrific new jobs! :cool1: Share some of the employment mojo with my hubby, will ya? :upsidedow

Buzz -- I hope Buzzlette is over the croupin' crud (and the rest of the gang too)! and I agree about the movies, I'm a sucker to get drawn in on those too.

Pkondz -- unless they've changed recently, there is no food to order at Jellyrolls... only complimentary popcorn to go with your not-inexpensive drinks. So eat a good dinner before you go.
-- that's Fra-GEE-Lay
-- havoc reeks? Kinda like our local minor league hockey team, the Huntsville Havoc. Some seasons are better than others, but reek comes to mind recently. :rolleyes2

I totally agree. There is anything from xmas presents from MIL to TV threads and anything in between. You could totally do a report there.

I had a fun day yesterday with a flat tire at work. AAA came to the rescue within an amazingly short 1 1/2 hours and had to inflate my spare donut which had been peacefully resting in my trunk for the last 10 years. Went to drive out today to get new tires, but the ride felt really bumpy compared to last night, so I decided to wait for hubby to evaluate things tomorrow and may have to call AAA back for help. Gotta love AAA :flower3:

Yeesh, look who woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning and pulled their cranky pants out of the laundry! It sounds as if some of us were thisclose to being thrown into the feed mix as well! ;)

I had the same experience as you and Ruby with Groundhog Day. I was at the beach with my youth group from church, yes I was a teenager then, and our youth minister wanted to see it. I had little patience for it during the first viewing because I was a teenager and more importantly,I was a teenager at the beach for crying out loud! It was the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and so on viewings that sold me on the comedic genius of Groundhog Day.

And Me! Me! Me! Though I suppose I won't count as a real person either. :sad2:

Thanks so much for the get well wishes! I think buzzlette is back to her normal cute baby self and we are getting close. I'm hoping our weather holds out tomorrow as we would like to get some outside shots for her three month pictures. She has a dress with a cardigan sweater that is too cute!! ;)

Marita, I hope all goes well with your tire situation! Buzz and flat tires don't mix. :sad2:

Agreed. Give him a minute. He'll get a tear in his labrum, be out for the season following hip surgery and rehab --- oh yeah - -- and then he'll start dating a supermodel and/or a B-level movie star. No, wait - maybe that is someone else I'm thinking of -- never mind -- go ahead and talk amongst yourselves .....
