It has been asked before but on the UK boards. What is your favorite station to listen to when you are cruising around in your car or relaxing by the pool.

96.5 WHTQ Classic Rock. It's a riot. Just before Christmas, John Boy and Billy (morning show) had their families in. I've never laughed so much in my life.

For me it's got to be either XL106.7 or OROCK 105.9.

They're both excellent stations.

It's a dream of mine to go over and work for them.

There really is nothing quite driving down I Drive, Sandlake or Kirkman with the top down on my Ford Mustang, the wind in my hair, the warm sun on my skin listening to the best music and the best presenters.

:smooth:

I'd better stop. I'm getting homesick.

:( :D

.... we change radio stations according to mood, but late in the evening, I have the radio on WMMO ( 98.9) which plays soft rock.

Another vote for XL106.7 in fact sometimes I even listen to them here on line to get me in the mood, although I just usually end up wishing that I was there. Carolyn

Hello again,

Has anybody got any links that they use to listen to these online?
Thank you :)

For XL106.7 it's www.wxxl.com
The only problem is that everytime they run commercials the site is silent. It's something to do with legalities which prevent the streaming of commercials on line. It does mean that you are never sure whether you have lost the connection or not, because sometimes no-one is speaking for what seems like hours!!!! Carolyn

Hi

Thanks guys I will go and give them a try...;)

Orlando has twp "public" radio stations.....WMFE 90.7(www.wmfe.org) with classical music and NPR programs, and WUCF 88.9 at the University of Central Florida(http://wucf.ucf.edu), which plays jazz and some BBC news bulletins.

We listened to Mix 105.9 when in Orlando and it was pretty good. I did miss most of what was being said/played as I was too busy concentrating on the road.

Dave

Mix 105.9 is the one that plays nothing but 80's music. We listened to it all the time when we were last there. DD couldn't understand how we knew the words to all the songs!!

Actually Mix 105.9 plays 80's, 90's and today's music. The jingles they use are identical to the local station we have here in Southampton which is really wierd.

Dave

Hi

I have been trying to look for a link that works to the Mix 105.9.
Not having very much luck. Can anybody help.
Thank you for all the other links I am getting through them one at a time.

These are the stations programmed into my radio:

98.1 - Spanish music (salsa, merengue, heavy Puerto Rican influence)
95.3 - party/dance/techno music
104.1 - talk radio. M-F Howard Stern in the morning and the Phillips File in the afternoon (the Phillips file are a more "open minded" talk radio group, so if you are very conservative, don't listen to them)
105.1 - soft rock/pop music/mix. They used to do a Friday Night 80s program but I don't know if they still do.
105.9 - great flashback cafe from noon - one M-F I LOVE 80S MUSIC!!!!!
106.7 - pop music

:D

42 more days until our trip to Sheffield (or something like that, I lost my darned counter!!!!) ;)

Another vote for K92FM - if you're into country music - I'm listening to it on the web as I type!!

Gerry

We found cool 100 last visit, it was great 70's 80's and some more recent.
It was a bit like the music radio 2 plays if that means anything to you!
