Does anyone know of some fun attractions in the Orlando area for young children ages 4 and 6? We will be in Orlando for a week after our stay at the Disney Resorts this summer and wanted some more simple and relaxed activities for our little guys. Someone had mentioned "Alligator Adventure"--or a name similar to that? Anyone know about this one or have any suggestions. I appreciate any tips.

Thanks!
Bev

Maybe Gatorland? It is a low key alligator park. There are alligator shows, lots of nature stuff like a walk through a swamp on a boardwalk, a kids play area, and a train ride. For us it was a half day trip, even when my kids were smaller.

Fun Spot beside Old Town has carnival rides, so does Old Town. Old Town was nice to walk through, have an ice cream cone, see the car cruise if you go on a certain night....

We went to the Orlando Science Center this year which was GREAT! Imax movie, three or four floors of activities, a really nice science center.

We also visit Cocoa Beach each year. About an hours drive, nice clean public beach areas. We take sand toys and spend the whole day there.

My 5, 3 and 1 year old boys love the Orlando Science Center too! (especially the orange grove). You may want to see if your local science center has a agreement with them. Our local Science Museum has a reciprocal membership, so we get in for free!

You're probably thinking of Jungle Adventures Nature Park and Zoo in Christmas, FL. http://www.jungleadventures.com/
It's similar to Gatorland, but it's not in Orlando. It's located 17 miles east of Orlanda on route 50. We went there on our last trip. It has alligators, reptiles and some animals. It's not quite as nice as Gatorland.
