Orlando airport to WDW- how far?

This is our first trip to WDW. We are renting a car when we land in Orlando. Can anyone tell me how long it takes to get from Orlando airport to WDW? I cant wait to get to WDW and want to know how long until the magic begins.

Depends on how you go. We drive 417 and it takes between 20-25 mins. from National's lot to OKW's check in desk.

That answer matches my experiences. You should aim to take the south exit from the airport. There are some tolls, but you will avoid I-4, which can get crowded. Signs are pretty clear.

POFQ is the resort next to OKW, it should take you about 20-30 mins. Do use the south exit and go 417.

I agree, 20 to 30 minutes once you leave the airport. It's about 20 miles but mostly expressway. Take the south exit to 417 to exit 6, go straight until you pass under the WDW arch, take the first exit after that and go straight, POFQ will be on your right, after the third light.

On my last trip, from the time I stepped off the jetway into the terminal, rode the shuttle train, walked to baggage claim, got my bags, got my car, and drove to check in at OKW was 65 minutes.

Could have cut a few minutes off that, but for some reason it took me a long time to choose a car and load up.

You don't need exact change, they have toll takers except at the little exits, you do need exact change for that one. But, if the OP just passes through the two tolls at 1.00 each, she will be fine with any bill or change.
