Orland Restaurants Close to but not on Disney Property...

We have family in Orlando. We are going there in June for our WDW vacation, but they want to meet up one night for dinner. Any suggestions? Price not really a concern. Just looking for good food and atmosphere...

think you would need to travel further out for the really great ones closer to Orlando - not WDW.

there is Disney Springs - which is on WDW property. the other restaurants are the brand names that are just about everywhere (my opinion) there is a bunch along US 192, 535, International Drive.

Try The Villa De Flora at The Gaylord Palms Convention Center at 6000 W. Osceola Parkway

There are lots of upscale choices in the Doctor Phillips neighborhood. Sand Lake Road west of Interstate 4 is known as Restaurant Row. Off the top of my head, these are some of the options:

• Seasons 52
• Roy's
• Bonefish Grill
• Moonfish
• Morton's Steakhouse
• Ruth's Chris Steakhouse

There are easily another 8+ that I can't recall.

It's fairly easy to get to from either the Attractions area or other parts of Orlando. Here are the directions from Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort:

At some parts of the day, it's slightly quicker to take I-4. (It's hard to see on that map image, but I-4 continues at an angle and then up to Sand Lake Road. It's adjacent to Palm Pkwy on the map.)
