"Original" Soarin' in Epcot from May 27-June 16

I'm really happy about that. I got some disappointing news earlier about the new SW fireworks starting a week after I leave, so this takes the sting out of it a little since I love Soarin' so much and wasn't expecting to be able to see it this time (even if it's the original version).

Anyone know if we will be able to book a FP for it? I just looked and it's not there yet.

We have FP for the new one on June 19th...now I have to decide if we want to try for a FP for the old one on June 15.
I know Test Track is important for my DH and oldest DS...is Rope Drop and rider swap good for Test Track?

Well, it's a consolation prize for all the other numerous June 17th debuts! Really disappointed that the Memorial Day and early June crowds kind of get shafted when it comes to all the new stuff. :|

According to the Parks Blog, Soarin' FP+ for the "old" film will be available to book starting tomorrow. (Along with a bunch of other things, so I'm expecting the website to crash and burn. Sigh.)

I'm very happy Soarin will be open in some form during our early June visit, and I'm glad to do Classic Soarin 1 more time.

Does anyone know if the 3rd theater will be open at that time? I see someone asked that question in the comments section of the article but no answer yet.

It would be awesome if it were Tier 2, but even if it's Tier 1, it should help having an extra Tier 1 attraction in there to help alleviate a TT FP+ shortage.

I'm assuming that this is their chance to test out the third theater, new digital equipment, etc. before the new film opens, so I would expect the third theater to be running.

OMG, if it were Tier 2, I would be over the moon thrilled, but I don't imagine that will be the case. I agree, it would free up a bunch of TT for those looking for that one.

As far as the big hair, I would hope that the refurb got rid of that so this may be your ONLY chance to see the old movie without the hair..

This is great news for us too. We leave on the 16th and were so sad to just miss its opening.

I'm also wondering if the fp will open at midnight or in the morning.

I am glad to hear this. I'm wondering about which tier this will be as well. My thought is it will be tier 1 with Mission Space moving back to tier 2. I guess I'll be checking at midnight just in case they are released at that time. Looking for May 27.

It's official on the DPB. Soarin to reopen May 27 with the "old film" Soarin Over California until June 16 and then will switch to Soarin Over the World!!!!!
