Not sure that I can help much... but let me brainstorm. First thing I would suggest would be to ask questions over on Twopeas. Lots of very helpful folks there. Secondly, rephrase your question here and you may get more responses to your thread. As for me....most of my scrapping storage came from
Walmart and/or Target. I have a LARGE stack of the 12 x 12 3 drawer Sterilite units from Target. In addition to fitting 12 x 12 paper, they are also nice slim drawers and I can fit lots of other "flat" things in them like miscellaneous embellishments, stamps, stamp pads, etc. I also keep my cardstock in recycled Priority Mail boxes (from USPS). It works well and is a lot cheaper than investing in Cropper Hopper 12 x 12 boxes.
Your local hardware store (Ace, True Value, Home Depot, Lowes) should have a "storage" area where they sell laminated shelving, wire shelving, storage boxes etc.
CK magazine has some online organizing articles. I haven't read many of them, but the ideas I saw were cute.
Sometimes it is just trial and error. I have tried things many different ways..... and I think I finally have a handle on it after almost 12 years of scrapping! But things still aren't perfect. I would LOVE to have a day to reorganize SOON, but I'm am swamped trying to finish 3 gift albums within the next week!
Anyhow, everyone seems to EVENTUALLY find what works for them. Some people like to store different kinds of flat embellishments in 3-ring binders. I used that method for a few years, but found it drove me nuts so I switch to boxes and drawers. Works better for me but that doesn't mean it is the best system. Good luck.............................P
