Organizing 101/ Oct & Nov - Closets and Kitchens

Some progress--I finished putting the washed items away, so the coat closet is officially complete! I am halfway though the multi-purpose closet in the basement. I reorganized the wrapping paper, ribbon, tissue paper etc.

But my big accomplishment of the day -- I went through my entire collection of rubber stamps, packaged up 75% of them to take to my sister and her SIL. I organized the remaining stamps. I hope to finish the closet tomorrow and tackle my boxes of ink -- I'm headed up to CT to see my sister this weekend, so I need to have everything ready.

I worked on my closet today!! You can actually see the floor- DH was in shock!! There is still more work to be done, but phase 1 is complete.

I know the way to my sister's house and that it is it. She lives in Naugatuck. Her DH family lives in Milford. We are leaving at 600am on Sunday morning to get to the Church by 10am--my nephew is being baptized. One of the kids (not always the same one) always throws up along the way, so I have to build in extra time for that. We'll stay for the party afterwards and then head home. DH will be at work, so it will just be me and the 7,4, and 2 yr old. Please please please let me come to your crop instead!!!!!!!

Closet is finished. A big thank you for getting me motivated. A pipe in the basement leaked -- fortunately, there was nothing in the bottom of the closet and we caught it right away.

I'm glad nothing was ruined! Our basement flooded the same month it was on the calendar for cleaning. It forced us to clean it early.

Got my hall closet organized (shoe caddy for my everyday shoes) and cleaned up.
Our closet, got sweater and shoe organizers for my stuff, weeded out stuff I didn't wear last winter and put aside DH clothes I think he needs to try on and get rid of.
DD closet, just put long sleeved shirts on bottom rod (we did an wire organizer this spring for her) and took out some clothes she outgrew from summer.
Cleaned out fridge and freezer.

Thanks for the motivation, it does feel good to get things done!
