Ordering oline at Safeway/Von's

Hi there, on all our Disney trips we have stopped at the grocery store on our way to the hotel( whatever private shuttle/limo we used)... This trip, the amounts we are being quoted for a 15-20 min stop are crazy...one shuttle said $30 and another said if we went over 15 min,it would be an extra $55... We have decided just to shuttle straight from long beach and have our groceries delivered from Safeway..never having done this, not exactly sure how it all works....can I order on the thursday(we leave early Friday morning) and have it delivered on the saturday to the HOJO? Thanks so much

We do this all of the time. You may be able to order Thursday and have it arrive Saturday. It all depends on the delivery windows they still have available. If I were you, I'd set it up today and select the delivery date/time as soon as possible to ensure you get it when you want it. They don't charge your card until the delivery day (at least that was the case 6 months ago).

You'll need to create a safeway/von's account online using the hotel's address as the address. Be sure to either enter your safeway rewards card number or apply for a new one so that the discounts will be applied.

You will do your online shopping, select a delivery window, and check out. Be sure to check with the hotel to see if they'll accept the groceries if you are not there. All of the Disney properties will.

If it's a new online account, they may give you free delivery on orders $50 or more. This was the case a few months ago, but you may need to check that out to see if it's still valid.

Has worked perfectly for us, but there may not be any delivery slots open for the day you want. I would do it a week out, you have a better chance in getting the delivery time you want.
