I want to order Mother's Day flowers for my MIL and my DH's Grandmother. Same address. Online it looks like I am going to get charged a delivery fee per recepient, doesn't matter if it is going to the same place. FWIW, I have tried on local florist's websites too, not just the big ones like FTD.

Does anyone know if I call the shops direct...will they still charge a per bouquet delivery fee? I'm okay with one fee...it is just rubbing me the wrong way for two for the same address. It adds anywhere from $10-20 up depending on the website. Or am I just out of luck, and this is how it is?

I'm having a similar situation although I am shipping to 2 lacations. On local and one in FL. I've used Proflowers and FTD. I'm thinking of going local for one and trying to find local in FL but I can't see what they are actually sending.
I've sent Sherries Berries and Edible Arrangements but both feel it is too much perishable food for one person.
I wonder why they would charge two deliveries for the same address?

Why not call the florist directly? They should work with you and you wouldn't have the wire fees.

Agreed. Been in the floral industry 25 years....always call direct. Less expensive for sure and the full value of what you pay, goes into the flowers.

I would highly doubt they would charge you two delivery fees, if they are delivering with their own trucks. If they use an outsourced delivery service, you may have to pay for the delivery itself (the delivery company charges per item delivered)....but your better value is talking with the florist. Plus they can tell you what's on special, or especially nice that day....and maybe save you even more money!:flower1::flower1:

I just know 1800Flowers.com. If you order 2 bouquets of florist delivered to same address but different recipients you will only be charged the service charge once.

If you are getting something delivered by UPS or FedEx (You can tell because above description it will show a box. If Florist item it will show a man handing a woman flowers) then yes you will be charged shipping on both unfortunately.

Keep in mind that is a service charge to arrange, deliver, and guarantee the flowers for 7 days. You can go with a local florist, but if you don't like the arrangement then you're pretty much on your own with trying to deal with florist. With our company we will make it right no matter what we have to do and you never have to speak with the florist. Chyances are nothing will go wrong, but always nice to have that backup guarantee.

PMing you a friend and family code.

Editing to add if you are doing this it is better to call. If you place it online just check your order when the confirmation goes through and if you got charged 2 service calls call and one will be refunded. Again keep in mind these must for the florist designed items and not the shipped ones for it to only charge one fee. Otherwise you will incur 2 shipping costs.

Thanks everyone! I was getting pretty tired last night and just gave up. Will call directly this afternoon after work and see what they say.
