Does anyone know how I would go about ordering a birthday cake to be delivered to our room at CSR next week while we are at a park? My son will be turning 13 while we are there & we would love to surprise him with a cake when we return to our room from AK on his actual birthday.

I know I saw this answered in the last week or two but can't for the life of me remember the answer. I would think if you called the Pepper Market you could get something because they bake their stuff fresh every day.

CSR has it's own bakery on site so all you have to do is order it when you get there and it won't be a problem. adaygaby did it during here trip. Read below.

After his nap, we got ready and I sent DH to the bus stop before me so I could decorate the table in our room. I had ordered a cake previously in the week and asked to have it delivered to the room in the evening. When we got back to the room around midnight we found a birthday cake and a birthday greeting from Mickey Mouse along with some balloons (greeting card with balloons was CM from check-in extra special thing :) )

I just called CSR & the CM said that CSR does NOT have a bakery on site so a cake could not be delivered to our room. She said the only other option would be to order somewhere else in WDW that does have a bakery & we would have to pick it up. I don't know when the person who ordered the cake in the previous post did this, but maybe they don't deliver b-day cakes to the rooms anymore? any ideas anybody??
:guilty:

For anyone else who could use this info., I just decided to call In-Room dining at CSR & they said Yes, they do deliver b-day cakes to the guest rooms. The smallest cake serves 4 people & is $15 plus $2.50 trip charge plus FL tax plus 18% gratuity for the person who delivers it. The next size up serves 5-8 people & costs $25. There are 5 different kinds of cakes to choose from. Just let me know if you want me to list them. Also, the cake needs to be ordered 24 hrs. in advance. So once I figure out what time I need it in the room, I will be calling them back & ordering it.

I sent you a private message about the cake list. The small cake seems reasonably priced for my budget.

Can you list the other cakes................also, when you call and order who do you call...is it roomservice or another number? Thanks for the info we will be there in two weeks and thought this would be a great idea for my family.

When I called Coronado Springs I asked for In-room Dining or Room Svc. After I spoke to them, the woman at Room Svc. gave me a direct # to call back on: 407-939-3970 or you can call CSR at 407-939-1000 & ask for rm svc. The cakes they have to choose from are:
Double Chocolate
Strawberry Vanilla
Carrot Cake
Mixed Berry
Oreo Cookie
German Chocolate

If you have a car you could go to Publix and pick up a cake. I know some of the other resorts do the B-Day cakes. We always stayed at CBR and was always there for my husband's b-day and every year we asked about a cake and was able to obtain one. Call the different resorts and ask.

Thanks for the info! I am calling to order ours later today.

:cake: Oreo or double chocolate? So many decisions so little time.:rolleyes1

Dina7- Thank you again for the info. I just ordered my son's b-day cake for August 17! Double chocolate-yummy! He is going to be so surprised when he sees it.

Also when I called the room service number the cm was very pleasant to deal with.

I didn't realize you were going to be there at the same time we are...we are going on Wed. Aug. 13 & staying until Aug. 20! Yes, the cm I spoke to was very nice as well. Looks like there will be 2 surprised birthday boys at CSR that week!

Thanks Dina7, our trip isn't until next year, but it will be my daughter's birthday and I think that would be a fantastic way to celebrate it. As if taking her to WDW wasn't enough already :)
