I ordered the brown set. The carbet bag is a nice size for bulky items, like shoes, etc. that you hate having take up space in your reqular suitcase. Not sure I would check it with the airlines, but great for auto travel.

That's what I'm hoping to use it for. I also bought the Poor Bear Carpet Bag a couple of weeks ago, really nice bag. I'd rather have a couple of these bags for traveling instead of a suitcase.

It does not have a shoulder strap, and there is a very small (approx. 8.5" x 10") zippered pouch on the inside. The bag is very roomy and will hold a lot of stuff.
