Orbitz way cheaper than Disney right now

Does anyone know if the Universal on site Hotels can be booked this way with Orbitz? Their prices are also lower if booking for 2 adults. If I book a room with 2 queens (max guests is 5) and then call to add the 2 kids will there be an additional charge from Orbitz or Loews? Has anyone done this?
Thanks so much!

I tried it a few different ways for our trip that has DH, me, dd21 dd22 and dd13.

It does seem to add the extra $250 to our poly GVCL room for the extra adults. Which is correct but it also adds an extra $100 for adding dd13, which is wrong. Overall without the extra $100 for dd13 it saves me $600! I do not have the $3000 to pay it right now though.

I also would need to get my $660 back from Disney that is currently on the room. This whole thing makes me nervous but I would love to save that money.:cool1:

I'm looking at a great savings by booking this. Does anyone know if I book with orbitz, can I add tickets and dining plan with Disney? I'm thinking probably not, but you guys always know the answer!

You can add tickets once you link your RO reservation in you MDE, just get a confirmation number from Disney for the tickets and link them to your MDE as well.
As for the Dining Plan, unfortunately you will not be able to, or at least that is what I was told.

What if you have 3 adults (one is eighteen) and 15 yo child? I assume that Disney charges for the 3 adults in this case and the child is free? So book only 3 adults with Orbitz?

Yes...book 3 adults since Disney charges for them...then call and add the 15 yr old

For our December vacation at a moderate it saves us only $77 on the same preferred room. I would rather wait and see if WDW offers free dining on my room or a good room only code.

No. It covered dates through the end of December but you had to book before the beginning of April. I can't remember the exact date but I do know that it was still good when I used it on 3/25/14 to book a Disney resort.

If you click on the 'restrictions' for booking, it does not state this.

Where do you click to see the restrictions on an expired code? I can only see the conditions for current codes on Orbitz. :confused3

Nonetheless, the DISCOVER code expired at the beginning of the month. I'm sorry that you missed out on it.

I'm sure hoping they have something like this for my December dates (12/26-12/31)!! I tried to do a google search to find historical discounts but couldn't find anything!

I saw a rumor on one of the other boards that room rates are going up on the 24th. Just in case I am going to book before then.

That time of year is never discounted. It's only rack rate.
