Orbitz Ticket Specials

You won't see the money for a while. They send out quarterly checks.

I know. But I'm saying it's not even in my account at all. I can see the 54 cents I got from a different purchase a week or so ago though.

You can also go through Ebates to get 6.88% on activities from Cheaptickets. I got my tickets that way for our trip this past November. Works the same way as Orbitz (I think they are the same company.)

Thanks for bringing this up! And a thanks to all who brought up Ebates and detailed how it works.

I was about to buy tickets for my upcoming Disneyland trip yesterday and I am glad I waited. I joined Ebates a few minutes ago and clicked through to Cheaptickets to purchase the 4 day DL tickets. Based on the rebate rate I should be getting back about $70 (for 4 tickets). I also purchase A LOT through Amazon, so Ebates will be worthwhile on those purchases too.

So I got another email from ebates that said this....

"For this missing order, please send along the travel itinerary (that includes the price breakdown showing sub-total of room, flight, or car rental and the method of payment used) so that we can look into this matter for you.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause."

So yeah...it looks like in order to get cash back on the Disneyland tickets, I would have needed to book room, flight, or car rental.

That's a shame, the Canadian ebates site gives cash back on just tickets. Pity the American one does not, at least not right now.

Oh man...so is cheap tickets the same? We actually don't get the money back? That is so sad!! It still will be saving me about 20 bucks to go through Orbitz/cheap tickets but that is really sad!

I wrote them back again and sent another copy of my receipt for tickets. I'll let you know if I hear anything else.

Ebates also has a download that will automatically tell you if a place you are shopping is Ebates eligible. No more going to Ebates to search a store or product. it couldn't be more simpler.

Would you mind steering me in the right direction on this one? I'd love to get it in my email as I know I'll forget to check e-bates all the time!!

So now I'm hearing there may be a price in crease too, so now I have to do more math to see if I should buy with the cheaptickets ebates NOW or hold off until 20% and hope the tickets don't increase until then.

So ebates wrote me back and said that I should get 3% back on activities. They are looking into it but it could take as long as 45 days.

I only bought tickets with cheap tickets and got 6.88% back. This was earlier this week.

I'm jealous. I hadn't heard of cheap tickets until after I already booked with orbitz.

I bought my Disneyland tickets on cheaptickets and my cash back is showing in my account. It actually showed on Ebates almost immediately. I only bought tickets with that transaction.

It is an add on to your web browser. It will pop up an alert when you browse to a page that had an ebate

It's called Moe money maker

If you buy now the tickets then they will be good in October. The tickets we bought last November didn't expire until January 2016. Remember, you will actually get a voucher that you will exchange for your tickets at the ticket booth. You will need to put your dates into Cheaptickets but I think that is a formality because I have read reports of people being able to change the voucher on dates other than what they originally entered.
If you're not going until October it may be worth waiting another month to see if Ebates offers the 20% cash back for Orbitz activities. That offer came out mid-Feb the last few years.

Where did you see reports that we can use it not on the dates entered?? We really want to go a week earlier then I bought the tickets for...should I have any issue??

A few people have reported it on this forum. I can't remember the exact thread. Maybe do a search?

I have been searching for the last hour. :bored:

LOL Googleing it...looking at other forums! Oy! I can't believe I am the only one in this spot!

I bought my PH and dining tix today through ebates and I'll be waiting for my refund... kinda patiently.:crazy2:

We were going to do the YES program for our 1st trip to DLR as we have done them in WDW before and my kids liked them, plus to save $500...but at this point I do not know if we can go in June or July.
Wondering if I should hop on the buy 4 get 5th day free ticket from cheaptickets or not?? I am a member of ebates. Ugh...decisions, decisions...
