Orbirz double cash back on Ebates today

For anyone using Orbitz to book a trip etc they are offering double cash back today on ebates

I was coming to post the same thing!

I didn't pop on this deal last week and have been kicking myself in the butt ever since. I have been ready to purchase but kept holding out *hoping* it would come back and it did!

On 4 adults, 2 kids 3+2 WPM tickets we are getting back $197.04. It's a good day!

How does this work? Can someone give me a step-by-step guide? Also, can you upgrade these tickets to AP's?

Sign into your ebates account, search Orbitz, click on it and it will open a window tracking ticket and automatically connects to the Orbitz site. Choose activities and enter your dates of travel and the rest is pretty much self explanatory on the Orbitz site. If you want water parks added you need to make sure you check the box for water parks.

Once you complete the purchase you will be instructed to print a voucher. When you travel, you will redeem your voucher at a will call desk (and I've been told by another dis'r you can also redeem at TTC and DTD). They will print your actual tickets. These can then be added to your KTTW at your resort if you're staying onsite. I believe they can be upgraded but I'm not sure about AP. This isn't an option I considered so I'm sorry I don't have the answer.


Once the voucher is redeemed, your Ebates account should be credited with the cash back. Ebates pays out quarterly. I have used them for years and have received a substantial amount back on things I was planning on purchasing online anyway.

I really want to take advantage of this deal but I have never used any other travel sites other than Disney directly to book a trip.

Has anyone had any experience with Orbitz? Any reason to pass on this deal?

My travel in May would be $999.28 thru Disney (staying at Pop w/5day tkts) or $917.86 thru Orbitz. Plus any cashback thru Ebates which I don't have an account for yet. lol

However, I did notice today, after searching orbitz for the past week, that the AOA is showing available and they are accepting the promo code for it!! It was not letting you use the code yesterday, so I am sooo very tempted!

Here are a few numbers:
AOA thru orbitz $1036
AOA thru disney $1196

CBR thru Orbitz $1080
CBR thru disney $1193

Pop thru Orbitz $917
Pop thru disney $999

These numbers are using the orbitz spring promo and using the Disney spring offer. 4nights/5 days with 5 day base tickets.

I would love in any input you all may have on these offers!

I was coming here to post this too! Last time I was waiting for my tax return before I bought our tickets and I missed the last deal by 1 day. I was so upset. I almost bought our tickets last night, but decided to wait and watch. So glad I waited. I will be getting back $134.50! I'm getting back about $160 from my trip just by using ebates. Those pennies add up.

There was a pretty long thread about this a couple of weeks ago - reading through it would probably answer quite a few questions as some of the posters there have been to Disney and used their voucher for tickets already so they posted back exactly how it worked out. All positive feedback, by the way, everyone seemed to be able to use it just fine.

I'm sad I can't purchase these for pickup for this Sunday. I wonder why? I can put dates in for Easter week and have the option to purchase. Maybe it's too close to the dates I need. I would have loved that cash back!

I cancelled our YC stay and booked thru Orbitz with the 20% off code earlier this week and the amount showed up in my ebates yesterday. We don't travel til May. Considering canceling and rebooking again now that the ebates is doubled.

ETA: Nevermind, looks like 2% back for prepaid hotel when using coupon. The 10.5% is only for tickets. I booked discounted tickets onto my first night stay at YC under the spring promo so they are already discounted. Good luck to the rest of you!

Yes ebates has a daily double deal that I get emailed on. No telling if/when it will come up again.
