Orange and Blue Envelopes

What's the meaning of the orange and blue envelope icons on the far left column of the main page that go with each thread? I get the symbols on top (lock for a locked thread, bent arrow indicated I've posted in the thread, straight arrow indicating thread has been moved). Just really curious about the color of the envelopes! Thanks!

Nevermind. I think I've figure it out. The blue = cool (has been read by fewer than 150 people) and the red = hot (has been red by more than 150 people). Sorry for posting before trying to figure it out for a little longer on my own first.
