Going on a trip my my girlfriend and my two kids, girl age 15 and boy 12.. so kinda need 3 beds.. what's out there??

Depending on how big your kids are....

Both Animal Kingdom Lodge and Wilderness Lodge have rooms that have a Queen bed plus a set of bunk beds. Some people have said the bunk beds are short--my 17 year old son (about 5'10") said he was fine on the top bunk...but maybe he "curls up" more than others?

The cabins also come with a queen and set of bunk beds in the bedroom, plus a sleeper sofa in the living room.

Family Suites at Art of animation--Queen bed in the bedroom and then the table and sofa turn into beds in the living room.

Port of Orleans Riverside and Caribbean Beach have "day beds" in *some* rooms, plus two queen beds.

Poly, Grand Floridian and Contemporary Standard rooms all have 2 queens and a twin-size daybed.

Mixed bag on getting a daybed at BWI, BC or YC, as not all rooms have them.

Some resorts also have roll away beds, but they are first come, first serve on arrival, so no guarantee - friends of mine have gotten them at both Pop Century and Coronado Springs. Others on here have also brought an air mattress as another option.

Actually these are Murphy Beds that fold down off the wall. They are not quite twin size beds. A 12 yo should be able to fit in one (at least most of them can)

Thanks, you are right--I was picturing it in my mind but used the wrong term! :)

The family suites at the All Star Music have a queen bed in a bedroom, and 3 pull outs in the living room area. Plus you would get 2 bathrooms and a small kitchenette.

We love the Poly as all of the rooms have two queen beds and a daybed.

The daybed is really comfy, we all have tried it at one time or another.

Thanks everyone.. maybe air mattress is the option we will use, fail safe
Unless you book at CR or Poly (and I think GF) where they all have the couch that converts to a day bed, plus 2 queens

Could you and your son share one bed and your girlfriend and daughter share the other? Or would that be awkward for your girlfriend and daughter? Keep in mind, though, if you stay at a value resort, the rooms have double beds (aside from the rooms at Pop Century that have been refurbished; those have queen beds) so sharing is a bit more difficult. Not sure about the bed sizes in the suites (AoA and All Stars), though.
