pirate: I really need some opinions. We currently are booked in a courtyard view at the WL for our stay from Dec.3-8. We are going with 2 10 day hoppers with no expiration and plan on upgrading these to AP's once we check in. We also have the dining plan. Currently our total is $2481.68. Now here are my questions. We can get concierge at the WL for roughly $600.00 more with our pkg. for our stay. Or we can get Polynesian Garden View Concierge with our current pkg. for roughly $900.00 more, I guess I'm asking for some personal preferences. We have stayed at most WDW resorts over the years and this trip it will just be my wife and I. I really want it to be special but honestly I'm not sure which one I should go with!!! Can anyone give me their suggestions? Thanks everyone. Chip.

what's the garden view concierge?

we've only stayed in the WL concierge so i really can't compare concierge to non-concierge..

concierge at the WL is very nice, but keep in mind that the balconies are smaller and have a more limited view than the standard (non-concierge) rooms...
but we didn't spend much time on the balcony anyway...

i happen to enjoy concierge very much so it's really difficult for me to be objective...i'm not sure how much you'll need the concierge food if you're also going to have the dining plan...

we typically eat breakfast in the concierge and then use it for softdrinks the rest of the day....i know others eat much more than that....

we just got back from the WL, we had two concierge rooms, one with a courtyard view and one with an MK view (well...it was a view of the parking lot and an obstructed distance view of the MK)...

but as i said, we didn't spend much time in the room, so i really didn't pay much attention to the view...

i love the WL by the way...

More opinions please!!!! BTW., the garden view concierge is in the Hawaii Bldg. at the Poly and instead of having a Lagoon View you get a Garden View in the Hawaii Bldg.. Chip. pirate:

Well, one thing to think about: The rennovations to the Hawaii building will certainly be done by that time, so you'll have the new room, VERY NICE.

I've never stayed at WL but I love the Poly. I think you'ld really love the fact that you can walk to the TTC to catch the direct Epcot monorail. You can also walk or monorail to the GF so lots of food options there and Kona is awesome at Poly (not that you can't eat there anyways...).

I would probably spend the dough and stay at the Polynesian...I wouldn't necessarily say stay concierge (because I think it's overkill with all that food you eat with the dining package) but to guarantee that you get the newly designed room would probably be worth it! :) If it were me (because I'm a penny pinching pro), I'd probably risk it and just get a water view room at Poly and request one of the buildings that has been rehabbed. If you don't want to risk it...then go whole hog and enjoy the romantic ambience afforded you at the Poly! I think you'll have a GRAND time!
