Opinions please! Our dining picks...

Hi there. Please feel free to honestly review our dining plans. 4 travelers (DH, myself, twin boys turning 2 on our trip). Our goal is mainly toddler friendly restaurants with a couple of parent wishes thrown in. Travel dates - mid Nov. TIA!!!
11/15 - arrival day, Epcot
dinner - Chefs of France
11/16 - MK
bfst - Main St Bakery
lunch - Pecos
dinner - Crystal Palace
11/17 - AK
Bfst - room/snack credit
lunch - Flametree
dinner - Boma

We're staying at either BLT or BWV/BCV. And we plan on 3 hour breaks each day after lunch. We'll also have our car.

all solid toddler places. A couple may be better for parents but that's not a bad ratio.

For a breakfast snack at DHS you may want to grab something at your resort. We often do this and eat as we're waiting at rope drop.

El Pirata which you have for lunch on 11/18 has changed names to Tortuga Tavern. It's the same menu and I believe will still be seasonal. It's unlikely to be open when you are there but you can always check the times guide when you enter the MK that day. You might consider Cosmic Ray's in Tomorrowland. It has a wide variety of food choices. There is also a big room where Sonny Eclipse with silly songs that your kids will probably find entertaining. He's an animatronic performer that sings space related songs built around corny jokes that kids like.

The only one for me that might change would be Boma. Not necessarily because of food though as much as we always come back to the resort before dinner for an afternoon break with our kids. And it makes for a lot of travel. I"d probably look someplace around the monorail resorts. Ohana has fun kids options and some games or Whispering Canyon.

I think your choices look solid. I don't know what time you arrive, but I believe that Remy begins his last rounds around 5pm I think by 6pm he's usually gone. I don't know if that is part of your consideration for Chefs de France.

I agree that getting breakfast at the resort is usually a better idea. Otherwise you waste the benefit of being at RD sitting down to eat. However, Main St Bakery is an exception to this rule for me. (the cherry turnovers have been known to get between me and the Dumbos on more than one occasion.)

Your AK day choices are exactly what we do. We go to Flametree around 11am and make an ADR for sometime between 5 and 6. It only takes a few minutes to get from AK to AKL. We always take Disney transportation and never have a problem.

I never make it to WS before it opens at 11am, so my question is, "what time does Kringa Bakeri open?" If it is open in the morning then it means that you are making a hike to Norway, then back tracking to FW to see attractions that are open in the morning. Perhaps a better choice, if you have your heart set on eating in the park, would be Sunshine Seasons.

The PP is correct, Tortuga Tavern , previously El Pirata y el Perico will be closed. We almost always go in Oct, and it has never been open. I assume that Nov. will be the same. We love Cosmic Rays, the selection is extensive, however, you have to get into different lines to get different items. ( Burgers and BBQ are in different lines. Not that big of deal, but just be prepared.) Pecos Bill would be great for a burger or BBQ pork sandwich.

With two 2 year olds I wouldn't do too many buffets as it can really become a big pain to have to get up and down, etc etc...but thats just me as I prefer to be served our food. With that being said we did a lot of buffets when DD went for her turning 2 bday trip in 2009 and didn't really have a problem but still, just know that it can get trying at times.

You won't run out of options at Main Street Bakery, the choices there are limitless! Also, I believe there is a snack option for large waffles that you can have toppings on?? Can't recall where in the MK but that would make for a good, quick BF.

Beware of the birds @ Flame Tree lol. I personally enjoyed their company during out meal and DDs got a kick out of them but a lot of ppl were complaining. We did enjoy our food there, just pretty heavy options for me.

Oh and the villians snack shop inside DHS is awesome! We love the chocolate covered marshmallows and the brownies there! YUMM!

With the exception of Crystal Palace and Main Street Bakery, we rarely eat breakfast in the parks. Most parks, IMHO, don't have a lot of "quick" breakfast choices so we usually grab something at the resort before heading out.

We were very disappointed with Chefs, we liked Teppan , le cellier, and san angel inn much better

Personally, I love the value of buffets when you have under 3's, especially since the OP has 2! At a TS or CS if they whole family can't eat off two meals then they must buy something for the LOs but at a buffet everyone eats as much as they want. That's why we love buffet and family style with under 3's. You have some great ones! It's very similar to our dining choices for our trip in Sept., many of the same. Have a fabulous trip!

I have never been to Chefs, but have only heard great things!
If you are going to be in MK for breakfast anyway, I would suggest Crystal Palace for breakfast instead of dinner. That being said, I had lunch there this year and the food was really good! Just be careful to be at your seats when the characters come around b/c we missed Pooh and Eyeore.
I really enjoyed Peco's Bill's burger. Can't go wrong there.
Got some breakfast sandwiches on English Muffins from Farefaxe Fair (something like that, near Rock and Roll and Tower of Terror) which were really delicious and filling.
So excited you are doing Tangierine Cafe...one of my fav's! Get the lamb and chicken swarma platter please! So amazing!!

switch your chefs de france to a lunch/late lunch so you can see remy! the lunch menu is great (i actually like lunch better than dinner there!). food and wine should still be going on if you go the first or second week of november, so you can snack around the world if you're still hungry later!!
