I'm so glad to have found this site! Although I've quickly become addicted to planning! We will be taking our DD 4 princess: (turning 5 on trip) and DD 2 princess: for their first trip in January. I've make some selections, but need some opinions please!!

Day 1
DTD

Day 2
MK - DD's Birthday
Lunch @ Pecos Bill or Cosmic Rays
Dinner @ CRT - she wants to eat and then see wishes

Day 3
MGM
Breakfast @ Chef Mickey
Dinner @ Le Cellier or Rose & Crown

Day 4
Animal Kingdom
Lunch @ Tusker House
Dinner @ 1900 Park Fare or Boma

Day 5
MK
Lunch @ Plaza
Dinner @ Crystal Palace

I think we're a little heavy on the character meals, but I think the kids will love it. Any thoughts?

Thanks!!

Andrea

You'll love chef mickey's!! We had a blast. A lot of the ones you picked, I am trying this next time, so I can't say just yet.
Make sure you get your daughter a birthday button at town hall!

I think your choices look great! I would choose Boma over 1900 Park Fare b/c I love the variety of food and eating some different things on vacation than I normally would at home. I definitely think that everyone can find something they like there, and the desserts are fantastic!

The only other suggestion I'd make is to be sure to stop at Earl of Sandwich on your first day at DTD. I didn't understand a sandwich place being hyped up so much until I finally ate there, it's great! :)

You and your little ones will really enjoy your picks. I agree with Imaaagination about Boma. It's a beautiful restaurant, and the choices are more interesting than your average buffet. I happen to enjoy the Plaza in MK--I think it is one of those best-kept secrets. I expect you already know that dinner at the castle does not feature the princesses, but it is still a royal experience for your little princess. Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace are sure hits for the little ones, but in my experience, there is often a little bit of a wait with Crystal Palace, even when you have a reservation. I would make sure they have something or some activity to keep them occupied. I like Le Cellier over Rose and Crown, probably because I rarely get one of those R&C tables overlooking the fireworks!!! I think Le Cellier menu is a little better, too.

My sons and my nieces are 'tweens and teens now. When they were very little, they liked your choices, plus O'Hana and Prime Time.

Have a wonderful vacation!

The restaurants you picked are all good ones, but I wonder if you are setting yourself up for too much traveling. I would do Chef Mickey's on an MK day. If you go to Chef Mickey's on your MGM day and then later go to Epcot on the same day, you will be spending lots of time on transportation. Plus we had a very long wait at Chef Mickey's, though well worth it. You might even want to do MK and Chef Mickey's in the morning of Day 4 and then go AK with dinner at Boma since it's close. AK is easily a half day park with small children, and you can never go to MK too often with little ones. Also on Day 3, you will want to spend some time at Epcot after eating at Le Cellier (food is wonderful there). My kids loved going to the Kidcot stations in the different countries of World Showcase. The Plaza Restaurant is a great place to stop for ice cream, but our lunch there really wasn't anything special.

Thanks so much for all of the suggestions. I'll have to think about the transportation thing. We will have a car, and are planning on returning to AKL each day for nap. I don't want to push the kids too hard, but want them to be able to do as much as they want.

Thanks again!

I was just about to ask you where you were staying and I just read your reply! If you have a car you definitely have more flexibility. We stayed at WL recently and used our car (with the exception of our MK days). We didn't have to leave an hour or so for transportation when we traveled from our resort to other resort restaurants. Your choices sound great. We ate at the same places on our AK day and just loved Boma. We had a very nice breakfast at Tusker House. You'll really enjoy Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace. We ate at LeCellier (loved it...one of our favorites from our week), but not R&C so I can't comment on R&C. What's nice about your character meals is that you are seeing a variety of characters. Have a great time!
