I don't know if you're prone to chub rub in skirts like I am (I'm 32 and also short and plus), but if so-- there are some very cute little "bloomer" like shorts/slips on Amazon you can get cheaply that can protect your legs without ruining the look (I like the ones with lace on the bottom and wear them with skirts or shorts so if they poke out at all they look intentional).

Bodyglide also works wonders.

You are so talented! Perhaps you could market some of your innovative fashions?

Sadly, most people won't pay what my time is worth for dresses like these. The skirts aren't too bad (an average of 2 hours each if all machine sewn), but the dresses are closer to 5 hours (all machine sewn). Disney material for the skirts run about 30-40$, so I'd need to charge about 75-80$ a skirt. For the dresses, it'd be more like 80-100$ for material, so I'd be charging around 200$ for a dress. 99% of people aren't willing to pay those prices.

Also, you might consider selling copies of your patterns- I have a friend who makes costume-related patterns and sells them on Etsy and gets decent money...though as a cosplayer she does a lot of promotion too.
