We are considering buying DVC but disneys interest rates are crazy and the price per point.
Someone on the monorail during our last visit recommended the timeshare store. Any problems or concerns I should have w them?
We are just looking to go to WDW DISNEY LAND and possibly Hawaii one day. Not interested in cruises or international Disney so thought resale would be good for us and our wallets.
Please share your opinions and or experiences w them. Thank you.

Used them for my resale purchase back in april. No complaints and they responded quickly to all my emails. I would def use them again. :thumbsup2

I've bought twice with them (and once direct) and sold twice with them. They are more knowledgeable and professional than our DVC timeshare saleswoman was.

Highly recommend the Timeshare Store.

We bought once through Disney and have purchased 3 times through the resale. Great experiences all three times. We preferred doing it through the resale because prices were good enough we could pay cash. We get all the Disney "Perks" because we have one membership through Disney directly but if you aren't worried about any of that then Resale is defiantly the way to go!

Just for the sake of clarity, the so-called "perks" of buying direct apply only to points purchased directly from Disney, or acquired prior to April 2011 either direct or resale. Resale points purchased after April 2011 can NOT be used for Disney Collection and the other "perk" options.

Frankly, I think most people who have looked at the cost/value of those "perks" think they are really terrible values. I agree with others here who say that Disney did resale buyers a favor by forcing them to focus on the real value of DVC -- using the points for stays in DVC resorts only.

I started a purchase with them about six months ago. After I'd already sent my earnest money and signed some paperwork, they realized they had listed the wrong home resort (BCV rather than BWV). The escrow company returned my uncashed check promptly.

I agree that it does help "focus" on the real value of the points. However, I do think it is important to point it out to those who may not be aware of the fact that they will not be invited to partake in members only cruises, meet and greets, etc.

I am not aware of any member activities (other than the member cruise) that are not available to all members, even those who bought via resale.

I also recall that at one time, the member cruise was only for members who hadn't yet been on one, so even the member cruise wasn't available to all members who bought retail. (To be fair, after that cruise didn't sell out, it was opened to all members who bought retail).

We used the timeshare store and had a great experience. I would definitely recommend them.

I also believe that Pete Werner & Co (the owners of the DIS) believe wholeheartedly in only allowing someone to advertise on the DIS that they consider has a good reputation. The integrity of this site is extremely important to him.

I sold a contract through the Timeshare Store and they were great. Always available to answer questions and very helpful.

We have not completed a deal with them but I have spent some time exchanging email and calls with a few agents there and they have been WONDERFUL! ::yes::

Purchased two separate contracts through TTS...very smooth and professional process each time (including the agency they use for escrow/title). Definitely would use them again...highly recommend! Good luck!

We are waiting to close on a contract with them right now.

No complaints at all. Very easy process - very polite and professional. They answered all of my questions in a way that was very easy for me to understand - and we called and asked quite a few. Never once felt like I was bothering them. :)

Would highly recommend them.

My husband and I have used them twice in the last year, both times for purchases and have had zero problems. They are prompt, professional, and very helpful. We highly recommend them.

Exact same situation and recommendation from us!

Good luck!

This is so true!! I'm in the market right now for more points and after researching what I lose by not buying direct I thought "what's the down side :confused3 ??" I would never use my points at the Disney Collection resorts anyway because of the value received. Although I love many of those resorts, I feel like I would be reverting back to how I use to stay at WDW before I bought DVC.

As far as Timeshare store is concerned, I've spoke them a couple times over the last month and they have been very helpful in answering my questions.
