Hi all-

We are going this Christmas and are planning on doing the Candlelight Processional Dinner package.

I am looking for any advice as to which restaurant was your favorite or least favorite. I understand that they are broken down into pricing tiers, but I am really interested in the quality of food and if you would go back to the same restaurant that you went to before. (Or not go to again.)

Thanks much!

Patty

Hi Patty! We've only done the CP package once, and we ate at San Angel Inn. When we go back in December, we will be going to a different restaurant this time. There wasn't anything especially wrong with our meal at San Angel Inn, but there wasn't anything great about it either. The food was okay, but we've had much better at WDW for less. And the service was definitely lacking. We were mostly ignored, and when we did see our server we felt rather rushed.

We're still deciding where to go this year, so I'm interested in seeing the other responses you get here.

We have done both Le Cellier and the Coral Reef on the CP package. I much prefer Le Cellier and will be doing it again this December for our next trip. I would recommend going with the menu you like. If you need menu info, go to www.wdwig.com and there are all the menus posted for the parks as well as everywhere else in the "world".

We did the CP package at Rose & Crown pub in 2001, 2002 and Chef de France last year. We enjoyed our dinners at both restaurants and will be going back to Rose & Crown again this year. The CP package is a great deal.

I've also only done the CP package once, so I can only tell you about my experiences at Rose and Crown-great! I was thinking of doing Chefs de France this year, just for a change, but I saw that it's more than R&C, so definitely back to R&C.

I have gotten the CP package at Chefs de France, Marrakesh, and Rose and Crown. Chefs de France had the best food, but it was also in the highest-priced tier.

We've done the CP package three times - twice at LeCellier and once at Chefs de France!! We enjoyed our meals at both restaurants!!

This year, we are considering either LeCellier or Marrakesh. Whichever we do for the package, we'll do the other for lunch!!!

Have fun!!!

We have done the CP package many times at Mitsukoshi - the Benihana style place.

We did Rose and Crown in 2001 and enjoyed our meal very much. This year we're doing Le Cellier just because we've never eaten there and I'm looking forward to the bread and cheese soup everyone raves about. ::MinnieMo ::MickeyMo

We've decided on Chefs de France and CPP on Christmas day.

I'm hoping I can get these questions answered here because I'm sure the closer Christmas comes, the more this board will be overrun with CPP questions, lol.

My dh is a big fan of drinking wine with dinner. This is obviously not included in the prepaid price. Will we just get billed separately for the wine? Anyone know if kids can order smoothies or specialty souvenir glasses and just be billed that separately as well?

Do children also get appetizers? Most kids menus don't include appetizers but it seems reasonable to me that they could order them since the package price is quite a bit more than the typical $5 or so kid's meal price.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, you may order anything you like from the menu. If it's not included in the package, you'll just get a bill at the end of the meal. Most servers will tell you when you order items that are not included (that's my experience, anyway).

Best wishes -
