Some of it may depend too on where you are coming from. We live in NJ where August is usually hot and sticky anyway. So our philosophy was "if we're going to be hot and sweaty anyway, it may as well be in Disney!" If you are not used to heat and humidity, then it will be quite an adjustment for you.
This! DC is a swamp so if its going to be 98 degrees and 97 percent humidity might as well be at WDW! Last week of August the last two years. Hot and Humid (and Rainy!) but crowds are lower at the end of August.
We alternate ride/attraction inside/outside.
