HI everyone.
I have been to WDW many times, but I find myself 2nd guessing my ADR's and just wanted some opinions. We are hosting another family of 5 (2 adults, 3 kids ages 11, 6, and 4) that will be coming with us and they only want 3 ADR's, while we do a lot of them because we know how busy it is and don't want to have to worry about finding a table. All of the below ADR's will be for our immediate family of 3 and not all 8, unless I specify.

So, we fly in June 1 and leave June 11. June 1 and 11 are out because of flight times so we will do pizza on the boardwalk or ESPN that day (we are staying at the boardwalk and arriving Magical Express - has anyone used that?)

June 2- Typhoon Lagoon, 7:15 Ohana for our immediate family of 3. We have never been here for dinner. Both my daughter and husband are extremely picky eaters, but I really want to try it. Thoughts? Also, if we leave Typhoon Lagoon at 5 and go back to the boardwalk to change, can we get there by 7:15 OK?

June 3- Hollywood Studios - 1:30 sci fi lunch 5:45 or 6:45 mama melrose. Thinking about the 6:45 since it is later unless I can move sci fi up. Have you been to either of these recently?

June 4 - I have class this day (Insurance class at Disney. :) So I have reserved Ohana again at 5:50 if we like it or Rainforest at Disney Springs at 7. Class ends at 5:15, so not sure if I can make it from boardwalk at 5:15 to Ohana for 5:50 adr?

June 5- Class again. TRex at 6:45 for 8.

June 6- Magic Kingdom. 9:45 Chef Mickey's for 8, 1:30 Liberty Tree Tavern for 3, and 6:30 Crystal Palace for 3. We have been to CP before, but I don't know of anywhere better for dinner in MK?

June 7- 1900 Park Fare 9:45 am for 3, and Disney springs for dinner (looking for options but not interested in Raglan Road)

June 8 - Sea world day, no adr's

June 9 - MK day again. 10:20 chef mickey's for 8, LTT and CP or Ohana at 5:50 for 3 of us.
June 10 - final day 9:45 Chef Mickey's for 8, and 1900 park fare for 8 at 4:30.

Which chef mickey's do you think would work out best? Ohana?

Other thoughts?

Thanks!!!

June 2: Yes you can get there by 7:15 with no problem. I am a pretty picky eater and was fine at Ohana but it wasn't my favorite.

June 3: Have never been to either but I would do 6:45.

June 4: You won't be able to make it, probably. Why not try some place else? Something besides Rainforest.

June 6: Dinner at CP was pretty good and had GREAT character interaction.

June 7: You could try D-Luxe burger. It's a quick service, but has good food.

June 9: I would do LTT for dinner instead of lunch and get a QS BOG lunch. Why not try something else besides CP and Ohana for dinner? How about 1900 PF for dinner??? It's really good with characters you can't find as easily (prince charming, lady tremaine, and the sisters)

June 10: I would switch out one of the Chef Mickey's for Cape May cafe at the Beach Club, it's close to the BW and they have AMAZING food with awesome characters. It's seriously underrated!!!!

Hope this helps! :)

Three reservations in one day is too much. When we do two in one day, it is usually a late breakfast / very early lunch with a later dinner. We had a couple of days with two reservations on our November trip, usually 7-8 hours apart. On those days, my husband and I were not usually hungry for dinner. We aren't typically "light" eaters, so I was surprised that we weren't hungry for the later meal. Also, you will spend most of your day getting to the restaurant, waiting for your table, and sitting at the restaurant.

I'd check out Be Our Guest, Skipper Canteen, Tony's Town Square, and the Plaza in MK. Plaza only takes reservations for an hour a day, so that could be tricky.

I have not used Magical Express, so no insight I can share on that.

For HS, Sci Fi isn't bad and the theming is very fun. I would choose that over Mama Melrose. Food is about the same quality just different, sci-fi is diner food- burgers, dogs, shakes and sandwiches and MM is classic italian but not very good IMO.

I am not sure on the times for June 4- maybe cutting it close for Ohana but if you keep checking you could likely find a little later time since you have lots of time.

Dinner at MK is iffy, MK is my favorite park but not my favorite park for good dinner food for ADRs. Be Our Guest is fun if you have a Beauty and the Beast fan otherwise avoid it. Diamond Horseshoe is OK but again nothing special, but you may enjoy it since it would be new environment. IMO some of the better food at MK is QS and not ADR restaurants.

For DS I would check out Homecomin', Boathouse, Splitsville and The Edison, which is new.

You are definitely heavy into Chef Mickey's, I would drop a CM and throw in an Ohana breakfast. The character meal and food is one of the best character experiences IMO. On June 9, maybe do a Crystal Palace breakfast instead of Chef Mickey, that's always an option and throw in Diamond Horseshoe.

LTT is great, one of my favorites at MK so I would keep that. Good luck, lots of good places in your dining plans. Sounds like a really fun trip.

I'm confused if you are looking at which day to do Chef Mickey or if you are really planning on 3 separate meals there? Same with Ohana.
If the later, don't do it. Go someplace else. Also, don't do 3 TS in one day. Too much food.
Spread times between 1 and 2nd meal to have time to get hungry. Can always snack in between.

We have used Magic Express. We prefer to rent a car to not be dependent on WDW transport. To leave TL at 5p and get to resort then to Ohana by 7:15 is questionable with Disney buses. With a car, no problem.

Also, consider using Uber or Minnie Vans.
don't rule out going to dinner at other resorts. Lots of great restaurants and fun to explore the resorts.

Magical Express: we’ve used every trip since service offered, you should be fine.

Boardwalk: would choose ESPN over Boardwalk Pizza, (overpriced and not so good lately).

Boardwalk to Ohana on June 4th: half hour travel not enough, cutting it too close unless maybe taxi?

Check out the Dis restaurant thread for more options.
