We have stayed at the DLH, GCH, and HOJO. Our trip in a couple of weeks is at the Fairfield Inn since we got a great deal. Anyone stayed there since it's be remodeled? :listen: Any opinions? It will be DH, our 4 year old and myself. We booked one of the theme rooms, requested park view and away from elevators.

When did they renovate? We stayed there in April on the first floor and really enjoyed it. No problems whatsover. The room was nice and clean with Disney themeing...I think all rooms have some.
Have a great trip!

Just stayed there last month and was not very happy. We requested an upper floor and booked 3 rooms, when we arrived we were given 3 rooms on the ground floor by the pool. Asked a manager to move us and they would not, saying they were full at noon on a Wednesday. Two of the three showers wouldn't drain and needed to be fixed. I took pictures of a huge gap under the door that made noise all night and water running down the entire front of the hotel and dripping on us as we left our rooms. Remodeled, really? Good luck, it is a convenient property but I will stay somewhere else next time.

We had another great visit again this year. We've stayed there now a few times with the last being in July of this year. I give it nothing but high marks. I posted some pictures on another person's thread here....

We have stayed four times in the last 2 years and have not had any problems, I would stay there over any of the other maingate area hotels. We have almost always had our room requests met.

We stayed there in the beginning of October, and enjoyed it a lot. Our only complaint was low water pressure in the shower :(

My first time too, having stayed at the hojo, dh and gch before. I liked the Fairfield and would go back. I checked in to find out I had a ground floor room, but then requested a view of the park so they moved me to the 5th floor, one of the last rooms on the back side of the hotel, perfect view of the Matterhorn. The room was decorated with a Castle theme. Not cheesy at all (as some people have said about the themed rooms) only problem was that the castle was from WDW and not Disneyland, but that's okay.

It was clean, comfy bed and pillows and beautiful view of the Matterhorn to wake up to. I would go back. I think I liked it more then the Hojo.

Have a great trip!

We love this property, all of our visits since 2007 we stayed here except one because it was booked.
In fact we cancelled our DLH reservations to stay here as financially it's just better for us.....

We have stayed at the FFI many times and have always been happy with it. As far as water pressure goes, it is far better than the water pressure at GC, it was terrible. :rotfl:

FFI is our "home" at DLR ...never had any issues or concerns! nice having the fridge & coffepot, quiet and clean!! going to be staying for both of our March trips!

We stayed there in March and loved it as usual. We would have stayed there on our December trip, but I always go for the Candy Cane Inn when we go for Christmas.
