We will be spending 2 full days in MK during our October trip. The two table service meals we are planning for are lunch at Cindy's and dinner at Crystal Palace. MK is open late on our first day, but closes at 6:00 p.m. on our second day due to MNSSHP (we are not attending). Which meal would you do on which day? I think I have read that people will be coming into the park around 4:00 p.m. on the day of the MNSSHP, so can I expect it to be more crowded during those last couple of hours? If so, maybe that would be a good time to eat an early dinner at CP. On the other hand, I kind of hate to spend those last 2 hours of touring time eating. I'm just not sure what would be our best approach. Help?

P.S. If it makes any difference, we have reservations at Chef Mickeys the evening before our long day at MK and at H&V the day after. If we did CP that day, it would be 3 buffets in a row. Maybe not a good idea? Our meals on either side of our short day are California Grill and Teppanyaki.

Honestly,,,I would try for CRT the first MK day and if you don't get it ADR at CP. Do the same your second day. How late will they let you reserve on MNSSHP nights? We have been avoiding TS dinners at MK on MNSSHP nights.

I have tried for CRT lunch twice now and both times it was sold out. I have ADRs at CP and LTT for those days, planning to cancel which ever ones I don't use after I get done calling.

Lots of Pixie Dust for your CRT.

cosmicdaisy - I forgot to mention that I actually already have ARs for both lunch at CRT (2:40 p.m.) and dinner at CP (5:05 p.m.) on our first day. Like you suggested, I wanted to go ahead and try for ressies on our first day just in case we didn't get them and then I would try again for our second day. Now that I was able to get both, I need to move one of them to our second day. I just don't know which one to move! Are you avoiding the TS restaurants on MNSSHP days due to the crowds or so you can take full advantage of the park until it closes at 6:00 p.m.?

Is there an envy emoticon? LOL :p

What are the dates again that you have your CRTs? Let me know if you cancel one! :teeth:

Anyways, in all honesty, I really just assumed if I wanted to do a TS dinner on MNSSHP night it would have to be at a really early hour. The Friday we will be in MK that is MNSSHP I would rather be able to leave if the crowd does get crazy (because this will also be Columbus Day weekend) instead of hanging around for a 5pm dinner...kwim. We plan to go to DTD that evening.

(but I am still trying to decide if I want to TS dinner on Spectro night or possible EMH night, lol)

Right now, I only have one at CRT and one at CP. I will call tomorrow for our second MK day ressies. At that time, I will reschedule either my CRT or CP for that day, not both. I don't want to have 2 ressies for the same place on different days when I'm finished making my ARs - does that make sense? I will have CRT on one day and CP on another day.

I think I'm leaning toward leaving my 2:40 p.m. lunch ressie at Cindy's for our first day at MK. We will be there from 9:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m. (assuming the hours are the same as last year's) and that will kind of break up the day in the middle. If I make our early dinner ressie at CP for the second day (MK closes at 6:00 p.m.), we will just head to CP about the time the crowd thickens for MNSSHP and finish out our day there. I think I'd rather do that than feel like I needed to fight the crowds later that afternoon because the park is closing early and I took an hour out of our touring time for lunch at the castle. Also, we won't be having 3 buffet meals in a row.
