Opinion on Caribe Royale

We just returned and spent our last night at the Caribe Royale. The only thing I can say nice about this place is that they have a fabulous pool.

They allow six persons to a room which was what we needed. However, the sofa bed was the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept on. (I've slept on plenty of sofa beds in the past). There was a metal bar that hit the middle of your back. Eventually, both my DH and I moved to the floor. Also, the walls are paper thin. We could hear other people come and go all night.

We noticed that the lobby carpet needed vacuuming desperately.

The breakfast was just okay. I expected something better. All the food looked and tasted as if it were prepackaged items that you buy in a gas station.

The staff on the other hand was very nice and tried to do their best. I filled out a survey and hopefully they will make some improvements.

Oh Mickey--I agree, the pools great, but I wasn't overly impressed
even though we only paid $99/night. The breakfast I felt was
very unorganized mostly because of guests allowing young
children to run around in the buffet area. The room was okay--
The Holiday Inn Family Suites is a lot nicer and their lowest rate
is $109. I don't think we would stay at Caribe again!!
