Opinion on availability at Hilton Head!!!

Still waiting on Disney to pass through ROFR on our BWV contract.
Once we pass through and are ready to book any hope at all for HH in early June for a 2 bedroom or should I not even bother? For the summer of 2005 any chance of booking at the 7 month window? For all of you non HH owners are you ever able to get in here during the summer? Thanks to all!

We own at BWV and VB and booked a trip to HH for last July in a 2 BR at the 7 month window, day by day, no problem. Got every room request and fell in love with the resort.

I called MS day by day at the 7 month window to book a 2br in HH for June 13 - 19 this year. As you can see by my countdown, I got it.

When I called, the CM told me I was getting the last villa. So, I suppose, anyone who called after me would have been on the waitlist.

Your chances of getting a 2 br at HH for this June are pretty slim I would think (you would definitaley have to go on the waitlist), .......however, as others have posted if you call right at the 7 month window for June '05 it can be done. There are some reservations that are harder to get at the 7 month mark and HH during the summer is one of them.

I booked our June 7th-13th trip 2 or 3 months ago... All they had was a 2 bedroom, which is what we needed.

As for what is availible now... anyones guess.

If you are flexible with dates, it is possible to get June at 7 months, especially the 2bdroom. There are so few 1bdrooms that it is very hard to get one for the summer months. We got 2 bdroom in July at 7 months and DIDNOT have to call day by day. I do not agree with that strategy. I never have had to use it (joined in 1994) even during peak weeks at any DVC( I guess I can rationalize doing it for standard view at BWV if that is critical). HHI is great..we even bought add-on there just to get some 11 month points!

I keep hearing this, and must be rare, because I was able to book a 9-night stay in a 1BR for at HH in August on my first call to MS (ergo, I didn't have to do "day by day" booking") UNDER the 7 month window!

It is not rare that you can't get 1 bdroom. We have been 5 times and have had to get a 2 bdroom 4/5 times. Once we lucked out and got a 1 bedroom and that was in July. Previous poster was very lucky. I know there are fewer 1bdroom at HHI. some people are lucky, but we added on points in 2002 just to get some 11 month window points. Its a great resort.
