Operation toe nail is NEXT WEEK!!!!

Thanks to all those who left postings on the other thread relating to this. after seeing the specialist last friday was told 4-6 weeks, thought good give me time to organise a few things, get my head round what they are going to do etc, THEN they phone this morning and tell me they want me there NEXT wednesday 22nd october. eeeekkkk

Work informed, booked three weeks sick in just in case, more if needed, boss says i can go back when ready and if not able to stand can do sit down job, if i cant get me shoes on i can wear slippers along as they are pink fluffy ones he says, starting to worry about our HR manager.

DH will still be at sea so good old ma and pa going to take and fetch me and look after me and the 4 moggies for a couple of days. Now just got to go and find that thing called courage........

Poor Alison - ah well, I'm sure loads of people are saying this to you, but at least it will be over and done with much sooner.

Oh Alison, hope it all goes well.
My DH has had this done on both feet - and he is left with absolutely no nails on his big toes!!
He did say it was extremely painful - even more than his vasectomy!! But men are wimps, what would they know about pain!!

Had it done Wednesday, not too bad until local wore off then it hurt like mad. Got a huge dressing on so cannot wear anyting on foot except plastic bag to go outside....very designer. Got to go back Monday for possibly some more work, Doctor today signed me off work for 4 weeks as she seems to think with what i have had done that i wont be wearing shoes for a least 3 weeks and she will see me then to see if i can go back.
