Operation Persuasion Vacation - Planning Already in Progress Trip 9/6-9/13!

Wow. I'm trying not to get too excited because I still have to get through work this week. Good thing it is only four days! I went through all my lists and made a packing one from scratch. I find that if I start over I sometimes remember things I forgot on the first list. Then I combine the lists and I usually don't forget anything. One thing that I almost forgot that I happened to find while looking for a luggage tag kit was all my Disney gift cards and my ticket to MNSSHP!! Those had never made the list. I kept them in a really safe place and then forgot about them. :scared1: I don't know what I was thinking - was I going to waltz into the party without a ticket? Whew. Disaster averted! :thumbsup2

Tonight I am going to put togther my LGMHs and get some books at Borders for the trip! Robin D. Owens and Nalini Singh just release books today. Yay!

Hi Jenna,

I really like your bag. I looked at similar ones at our AAA office the other day...I had to stop there to get discounted tickets for Camelbeach Waterpark---it's a ski mountain that transforms into a HUGE waterpark in the summer months...in any case, they had some. I liked them because they were lightweight but the kids reminded me we already bought these really neat fanny packs. Oh well, next time...

Any luck in getting the hubby to go trick or treatin'? Glenn and I went to a resort here in the Pocono's for his Birthday in May-made a weekend out of it--in any case, they had a famous couples costume party---I don't know how I did it, but I talked Glenn into going as Shrek and I went as Princess Fiona...we had a blast--even though we both were exhausted from our work schedules. There was about 100 people there in total with about 20 people dressed up...we took 2nd...lost out to Mr and Mrs Potato Head!

Maybe he's gonna surprise you and go at the last minute...if he does, have him take the sheet off the bed and go as a greek...toga, toga, toga!

Have fun...you're almost there!

Thanks! The bag works really nice. I used it this weekend at the Minnesota State Fair. We were there for 12+ hours and the bag didn't bother me once. I was even carrying water around. I would recommend it for your next trip if your fanny packs don't work out.

I haven't talked to DH about MNSSHP since the last time when he got a little irritated. He doesn't get very emotional and takes things in stride so when he shows a little irritation, I know that he is quickly reving up to get upset. We'll just have to see when we get to Tuesday. All is not lost yet! The thought of Blair in a toga is too much! :lmao: That would be...wow...I would have to take a lot of pictures.

That's great that you were able to talk your DH into Shrek. You gotta send me some of your mojo. Too bad you lost to the Potato Heads.

I've been totally impressed with all the Disney stuff you are making. Wow! I wish we were going at the same time so I could see your stuff in person. This is definitely going to be a trip to remember for you all. :lovestruc I think you put even some of the Disney veterans to shame!

So. Wow. All those storms. Ike is heading towards-ish Florida and may make landfall late Tuesday/early Wednesday. However, it sounds like the path is still very iffy. Let's hope it takes a hard right into the Atlantic! As I am from Minnesota, all of this is a little baffling to me. We do get major storms coming through here and tornadoes (ugh!) all the time, however, these storms don't last very long. They can still be very destructive and frightening but I understand what to expect. I am a little in the dark about what to expect in central Florida. I guess I may find out!

Still looking forward to going! I have to get through work today and then I am homefree!! Yay!!!

Hey..

I just wanted to say have a great trip!!!:woohoo: I"m sure you'll be able to convince Dh to return next year. My dbf, isn't all that much into WDW either, except last night we were sitting on the couch and i asked him if we should change our hotel reservation for 2 nights at AKL instead of pop, and he said save it for next year. :woohoo: :worship:  :rotfl:

I've been reading your ptr... I'm sure your Dh's will love the segway tour.. my dbf is most excited about that trip :lmao:

Take lots of photos, i'll be waiting to read your tr. Good luck with ike. Have a wonderful trip!!

Hey I'm back!! We've been back for almost a week but everything has been crazy. We had a great time but it was HOT! Wow. I knew that it was going to be hot but sweating the minute you walk out of your hotel was a little unexpected. Ike did pass us, whew! I feel for all of the people in Galvaston. My DH watching the weather channel constantly while we were there. Anyway, this is just a quick check-in before I start to write the trip report. I hope to start it in the next few days. LOVED the segway tour, by the way! DH wants to buy one now. $5,000! EEK! See you at my trip report...
