Yeah, that's like bringing a knife to a gunfight.
Common phrase, but it's also specifically in:
"The Untouchables"

Trying to catch up on a few TRs. I counted, and I've got over a dozen that I'm behind on.I guess I can either do an update, or stay updated, but not both.

The long ride home always stinks... unless you make it part of the trip..
Stopping along the way is a great way to distract and entertain.
Love the cannon pictures.
Yeah, and then you hit me with the "brain in the mortar" comment.![]()
Yes. Yes, he does.
Good point.
Well call it even and Ill save the harsher insults for Andy.
Maybe I ought to photoshop his mug onto that picture and post it into
his new TR

We just stayed at a Wingate by Wyndham right off one of the I-95 exits--it was pretty close to the state line. I usually choose hotels by a) price, 2) location and d) free breakfasts. This one gave us a room for around $75, was right off the exit so it was an easy stop, and had breakfast. So it fit the bill. Otherwise there was nothing particularly special about it.
Good point.

Now there's an idea...![]()
On second thought, I could see them having it there. I think the lie in this chapter was more blatantly obvious.I'll call Mc Pizza the lie...![]()
There could be a half-hour-long Its A Small World ride in there, and it would be cool because you had to crawl through a tunnel to get there.
And if I have to be the butt of a joke to get a shameless plug, I'll take it.
By the way, the first real update will be posted shortly.![]()

Well... D'oh!
A Phineas and Ferb reference
Read right over that one
This exactly what I am looking for - cheap, convenient room with breakfast.
Thanks for the information on St Augustine. I think I might stop on the way down. Unfortunately, the stop will be in the heat of the day, but I really want to visit it and I'm thinking I might just want to "get home" by the time we leave.
Yeah - South of the Border really does lack in the advertising department. doesn't it?![]()
I hear ya on the PTRs. Glad you are going to post your plans here, with movie quotes I presume?![]()

Theres not much that stands out as a likely untruth. Its harder to find embellishment in a story if you werent on that particular trip them one might otherwise think.
Ill pick a little detail and say that yall just went ahead and ate lunch at the McDonalds rather then getting right back on the road.
I thought this one might be easier to spot than normal, actually.
Can you give me a couple of minutes to look back through it?
Okay, I'll guess that there was no McPizza on the menu.
BOOOOO!!!! It was rigged. So, there you have it. The winner is Rob! Congratulations! You are hereby awarded the title
SUPREME MOVIE QUOTE SPOTTER OF 2012*
*This title carries no value whatsoever.
I can't wait to see what the plan is for next year. I'm sure it will be a fun adventure, whatever it is.I'll be back in the next day or two with the final wrap-up and preview of 2013's adventure. Thanks for playing along!
