I'll be going to IOA (June 7th) and Universal Studios on June 8th. I know, the week from hell with the opening of the new coaster. It looks like both parks open at 9am (or thats when they have been currently opening).

Anyone have any idea what time they've been letting people in and what time we could start waiting in line?

I would plan on minimum an hour early, watch YouTube in the days before to know if you need yo be even earlier if you are not staying onsite as IOA will probably hit capacity with soft openings on the new coaster.

Usually at early entry all guests can go in to the front of the park, to shop or get coffee or a morning snack, you just can’t go on into the ride areas unless you have access to early entry (you will be stopped and asked to show your room key or pass).

I’m not sure anyone will know when they will hit capacity in the days leading up to the grand opening until we actually see those first of June crowds and how they are handling a grand opening with Covid.

Just keep an eye on UTube for daily updates. But be prepared to get there early to park and get in the security lines. If you are staying onsite it won’t be as bad.

they open the gates about 15 minutes early typically, unless it is really getting overcrowded in the lines, then they might be half an hour or more early. You want to plan to be at the gates at least 1 hour early in order to get in and get on a ride like Hagrid at open.

If IOA hits capacity, What happens if you are there and exit to go to Universal Studios or to take a break at your hotel? Can you enter again?

If you are a hotel guest, you will get in. They 'say' that if it closed to capacity there is a separate line for hotel guests to wait, but they will just let you in. Just have your hotel key with you.

Where do you watch on YouTube? We are also making out first trip June 5-8 ( planned before we knew about coaster opening).
