Opening day strategies?

I’m trying to figure out the best way to have the QR code for my reservation handy, since it’s not directly on the app. Suggestions? I’m thinking of a screen shot maybe.

I'll have screenshots of ticket bar codes and QR codes so I can just swipe through them without opening two different things.

I also plan to have printouts of everything in case of issues with my phone. Because I'm paranoid :lmao:

My son has his. He loves Disney popcorn, but isn't too crazy about any of the buckets. But if the bucket gets him reduced cost popcorn, then he is all in. Unfortunately, this one does not come with reduced popcorn refills (and he has it anyway). My daughter has the blue cinderella one, so it looks like we will be passing on popcorn buckets this time.

Print a copy of the reservation confirmation email with the QR code. I attended a cast member preview yesterday, and the QR code was not scanned. A ticket is needed to book a park reservation, so the two should be linked -- the QR code appears to just be a "backup" in case there are issues.

I am bringing printouts of etickets and QR email, but using the ticket barcode displayed on my phone for entry (phone seems to scan more easily than printouts)

I really don’t understand why they don’t have the reservation in the app. Also at WDW you don’t have to show your reservation, so I don’t know why we have to here.

Missed seeing you!!.

We had tickets AND screenshots, and in the app! Now I am more comfortable without the printout.

Oh! They fixed secondary account linking! Finally got my two tickets linked in my mom's app (my account is still listed as primary; no unlinking happened ever). This means I'll be able to link my friend's ticket to try for RotR BGs for the three of us if he's able to join us one of our days later in May.

Thank you for getting this fixed before opening day, Disney! I may not be going opening day, but this is great news for those going!

Not sure how many Cast Members were in the park during this preview. Is it even close to the 15% threshold?
I am going to guess that it is not.

From previewing the wait times the past three days, the most popular attractions with the longest wait times have been Indiana Jones, Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, and to a lesser extent Snow White.

I expect Snow White and Splash Mountain to be busier when the park opens to regular guests.

So if you are in the park at opening, I would do Indiana Jones first, then Pirates, then Mansion, get on Splash Mountain before 1030am. If the wait time for for Splash Mountain is building, I would skip Mansion and do Splash Mountain first.

I expect Snow White to have a long line from opening + 2 hours, but start to dwindle down to 30 minutes or less as the day goes on.

Side Note: Rise of the Resistance seems to be selling out in seconds. Make sure you practice getting your boarding group before your visiting date.

At California Adventure the first attraction should be Racers then Soarin. With less attractions than DL, the DCA wait times tend to average 20-40 minutes.

ME
I was told Monday they ran at 4K people. Tues was closer to 7k, Wed was more like 11K between the 2 parks, not sure what todays numbers are. I'm expecting tomorrow to be closer to 16K.

As for CA Adventure, we had few wait times on WEd in the afternoon. We park hopped about 2pm, waited MAYBE 15 mins for Soarin'. We had no wait for Cars (it said 10 mins, but basically, you walked the line and got a car.). And no wait for Maters, Incredicoaster, Monsters, or Guardians. We were sitting down at Carthay at 530. Then closed the park at 7. Loved seeing all the management out thanking people for having come out.
