Opening day strategies?

So, silly question here, but will preview days be a good indication of this upcoming weekend in regards to crowds? I don't know how preview days work and if the amount of people there is far less or equivalent to capacity this weekend. Anyone have any information?

Not sure. I’m watching ig updates now and it seems like M&F side was super crazy. Harbor was normal. But they also didn’t open the parking until 8:30am. Opening weekend parking is supposed to open at 6am.

Looking at the wait times on the DL app right now is probably giving me false hope, but these numbers are a Dream! IM just going to stay positive that the number at worse are-5-10 minutes longer this weekend or at best, the exact same! 🤞

Just looked and thinking the same! These are amazingly low wait times!

It's almost too good to be true. I don't know what the capacity is for preview days, but those numbers are so low that I'm starting to think capacity is significantly less than it will be this weekend. Nevertheless, I'm still staying positive!!!!

The live vlogger I'm watching just tried to get on the train. There was one group of 3 people in front of him, and they got on. He didn't! The cast member told him that they are limited to 3 groups per train car!

Do we know how many CMs are there now? I believe Friday will be around 20K?
Also, does anyone have a reference for how much 20k feels like/looks like? I never really knew the numbers on busy days or light days pre-covid

For people using strollers. I saw on an Instagram story that if you enter through the structure with a stroller and use the elevator, only ONE party at a time inside the elevator.

I dropped this in the speculation thread but thought I'd post it here for you folks going soon:

Watching a livestream of the CM previews... the Haunted Mansion just limits the number of groups, they have little stickers the groups stand on, looks like only four or five groups in the elevator tops? But then they do the entire preshow!

From the looks of it, even with the very small amount of people in the parks, this made the line move very slowly... so if it were me, I'd ride HM earlier before it builds up later on! Might not be the quick moving ride we're used to anymore...

(But the preshow is open!!!! ❤)

Yep, you can tell by the 60 minute wait. Longest wait between both parks. Definitely would be wise to go straight there.

No - the CMs I know are saying there are less than half the number of “guests” that will be there opening day. Some of them think they’re increasing the next three days, so Thursday might be closer?

Indiana Jones also has one of the longest waits in the app... still haven't seen that 'vlogged' yet but I imagine the indoor queue limitations is what's slowing that down.

Awesome! Thank you!!

Hmm so sounds like when heading in for the day, you should do the left side of the park. Haunted mansion, pirates, Indy, get big thunder done, and splash.

That's what I would do... Pirates isn't too bad so far on the app but I imagine it will get longer as they increase the amount of people. Not filling the boats up will slow it down. And in the videos I watched a CM holds guests before they enter the building, waits for the other CM to radio them, then allow guests inside in spurts. That will also slow it down.
