** OPENING DAY PRICING 2018 Pt 3 September-December: Magic, Wonder, Dream, Fantasy **

I rented a car in Seattle it's currently 86.00 to Vancouver one way.
i
It should be the first 4027 since it's around 3727 with the OBB. In ten years that 40927 might not be a typo the way things are going.
Yeah, I think I was a bit green after I hung up as I was shocked.......so perhaps I was typing what I was feeling by the time I hung up. Maybe it just felt like that much. Lol.

For those considering Galveston cruises, our Royal is about 17% higher next year, over this year. It looks to me that 2018 will probably be the last year for DCL out of Galveston. No insider information, just an educated guess.

6 night Bermuda October 13, 2018
Called May 16 @ 8am
Got through @ 8:37am

Booked connecting 5Cs with 10% obb deal. No transfers or gratuities.

2 adults: $1,684.80 per adult, taxes $443.48. Total $3,818.08

2 adults, 2 kids: $1,684.80 per adult, $673.92 for the 4 year old, $404.46 for the two year old, taxes $886.96. Total $5,334.94.

Also asked for a quote for an inside room for 2 adults, 2 kids. (11?) $4,897.36

So it's often the taxes that makes cruising with 2 kids that much more expensive! The rates for two adults seem so reasonable.... and the kids fares are discounted- but the taxes are double (compared to 2A) and we've seen some cruises with very high taxes... so I'm understanding this better now...

Is the merry time cruise definitely the 11/17/18 one?

Yep! Even our TA who specializes in all things Disney recommended we stick with NCL. But we are still getting two days in Quebec City on that cruise so it's all good!! I can't wait to visit your wonderful province. I'll still be stalking your Quebec thread for ideas. :-)

Oh yeah, keep NCL. For the price difference you could add a whole week in the province of Quebec staying in the best hotels!

So breakdown on Wonder December 7, 2018:

G R 3A 5915/5915/1120 tax: 97.05 per person no OBB/GT/gratuities Total: $13241.15 Deposit: $2590

Yeah that's high. Our 11 night TA is 3340 so roughly 150 per night per person. I booked an oceanview I'm not sure what the cost of a verandah would be. It seems like there's a huge difference between cost of an inside and a verandah on the classic ships.

I read somewhere else that the contract in Galveston will be up after 2018 so you might be right. Im in Dallas so I'd really like to take advantage of the proximity at least once. The thanksgiving cruise is gonna be too much for me I'm sure so we might snag one of those 4 days.

There's been big discussions about it. They tried in 2013, and the Port told them no. It would make sense for the fall 2018 (and that one jan 2019) cruises to be their last. I'm sad, cause I live closer to Galveston than PC or SD, but we'll still do the 12/7 probably. IT's about what I expected, price wise, so my budgets set up fine for it.
