** OPENING DAY PRICING 2017 Pt 3 September-December: Magic, Wonder, Dream, Fantasy **

Arrgh! This is our first Disney Cruise, the first time attempting to use a travel agent, and the first time I've tried to book this early. I put in requests for price quotes with two travel agencies in mid-April and haven't heard from either yet. I had expected to have my quotes and be able to book by now. What about the process am I not understanding?

I might check with them to make sure your request wasn't lost - sometimes TAs have a TON of requests and it will take until later in the day to get the quotes out to clients, but you can always check to make sure!

Thanks for the reply! I actually posted this comment on one other board and got a similar response. What I'm getting from both is that I'm not crazy or misunderstanding the process. Barring some complication, I should've heard back by now. I sent a follow-up to the initial response emails I got from both agencies and hopefully I'll get a reply before they close up shop for the day.

Again, thanks for the reassurance. I'll keep hoping to post some data here by the end of the day.

Yay, I'm glad you were able to book this cruise! I am SO tempted to book this one but we already have 2 booked in 2017 and I don't want to change either of them (finally getting my Alaska cruise in August 2017) sooooo.......hoping they offer this cruise in Fall 2018 so I can book a placeholder on one of my upcoming cruises and use it for that :)
Wow! Lucky you to have such a busy DCL year in 2017!!! But liked we talked about it before, I'm so happy for you to get your Caribbean cruise and your Alaskan cruise!!!

Doing the 5 day Baja cruise was so incredibly short for us (especially since it was a Halloween cruise...too many activities and we were so exhausted!!!). I'm looking forward to seeing Cabo again. Can't wait to visit for the first time Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlan.

I was so incredibly excited to see that DCL finally got the message that it needs to come to the West Coastbfor a longer period!

That would be awesome if you get to do it in 2018!

I'm betting it got lost along the way. I booked my first cruise this morning with a TA, and sent quote requests to 2 different places yesterday. I purposely waited until Disney released the schedules so my request wasn't filed away until the information was released. I heard back from both of them yesterday and then again this morning by 10am with their quotes. Ended up going with Dreams Unlimited since their credit was higher. Good luck!

Doesn't it seem odd that both would lose the request? I was hoping to work with Dreams Unlimited or Small World. Maybe I should resubmit.

It is. Perhaps I should have said forgotten instead of lost. My thinking is you submitted before dates were out so it was "filed" away and then forgotten. I submitted to those same places and heard back very quickly. I would just resubmit that's probably the easiest thing to do.

Just booked our first B2B! Thank you DCL for bringing the Wonder back to San Diego for October 2017!

Cruise 1:
10/1, 4 night Baja 2A/2K (17&16)
10A - secret porthole $2731.60
(800/800/380/380, tax 371.60)

Cruise 2:
10/5, 3 night Baja 2A/2K (17&16)
10A - secret porthole $2707.96
(780/780/375/375, tax 396.96)

I can't believe the 4 night is only $24 more than the 3 night, don't quite understand that pricing but oh well. We'll be gold on the second leg and we'll be able to celebrate our 21st anniversary on the ship. These cruises work perfectly for our fall break schedule!

Can I park my car at your house while we're on our cruises? I'd do the 7 night if I was you, that's what we were hoping for but couldn't with out school schedule.

Sure you can park your car here if ya want :) than just take in Uber :) Im still deciding on the 5 day or 7...we have cruised to Mexico many times and this would be our 3rd one on Disney to Mexico....we are also planning on Aulani that summer or soon after....sure wish they would just leave the ship here :)

both my sons say...MOM you know how short a 5 day cruise is...can you really survive on a 5 day only Disney cruise ?????? we can also drive an hr and 30 minutes away and do Disneyland before setting sale to get our Disney on first :)

I'm thrilled to see more West Coast cruises too! Here's hoping they keep it up in future years (depends how these ones sell I guess) but hopefully with 2 new ships on the horizon they will do more out west.

Transferred our 11B 9-Night Alaskan for 2017 (the new itinerary) to Galveston and saved close to $2000 overall, not to mention flights to TX are far cheaper for us and we won't need excursions at these ports. I'm quite pleased!

We just booked the 12/9/17 Fantasy too - so exciting about the Star Wars movie - I didn't know about that! We will also be on the Magic this coming December when the next one PreEars - I think it's titled Rogue One!

12/9/17 Fantasy Western Caribbean

$3838.42

CAT 11A, Deck 8 across the hall
1A2K (ages 16, 6)
$4240.03

No ins/no transfers/no OBB

We *really* wanted the week of 12/16 instead but it was over $3000 more.

I was surprised by how much more expensive the 16th sailing was. fortunately, we had priced 2016 as a proxy for 2017 and knew this was likely so had planned for the 2nd and 9th instead of 9th and 16th (note: being on board on the 15th was kind of non-negotiable for us :-) ).

Yes, Rogue One will be released on December 16, 2016.

Episode VIII (I don't think there is a title yet) is scheduled December 15, 2017.

Episode IX is May 24, 2019.

Untitled Han Solo film is May 25, 2018

All dates are of course subject to change. E.g. May might become a December...
